Best Songs With One Word Titles.

Damn........words to Daddy are some headshaking lyrics......Almost like the lead singer John Davis went thru that........

Thats some fucked up shit.......

But I put it on my playlist anyways......lol
"Daddy" is one of my favorite songs of all time. Fieldy's deep & heavy bassline intro sets the song's ominous mood perfectly then proceeds to rightfully be the driving instrument in the song. JD's vocals are heavy, raw and deeply emotional yet perfectly delivered and the lyrical content is uniquely shocking and awe inspiring.

JD did go through sexual abuse from a babysitter/family friend when he was a child and his parents didn't believe him when he told them it happened. That deeply scarred him and his ultimate emotional outlet was that song. Korn has only played that song live a couple times during an anniversary tour of that album. JD doesn't like playing it live because it is so personal and emotional to him. Similarly, one of my favorite Slipknot songs is "Diluted" and Slipknot never plays that song live either because it's so personal and emotional to Corey Taylor. I guess I'm drawn to songs with heavy, dark, raw, painful emotional content.

Ive never heard that song before until now and could sense that he was abused thru the lyrics......Mustve been emotionally tough growing up for him.......
If tou cant turn to your parents, theres really no one left.....

Parents really need to listen to their children a little more......

And Im with you in meaningful songs.......
I got a couple of my own......But they are not of his style.........

Thanks for the lesson......That song has some meaning to it when I crank it up....

@Yoga≈Surfing - do you work in music in some capacity? Just asking because you post a lot of music stuff that actually is a wide range of music covering a wide range of decades.

Or do you just search and post a bunch of videos that happen to fit the thread?
