Big 12 beats the dead horse again.... horns down to be a penalty?

@ralphiewvu at media days they were talking about unsportsmanlike rules, they didn't even mention UT til an old senile reporter mentioned them.. then they answered it. It's not UT whining to the conference for preferential treatment, hell we played y'all last year and the season before and there were plenty horns down and no penalties IIRC.
 
Baker Mayfield got nailed for juggling his junk at the Kansas players and several people have gotten called for the horns down thing but, honestly, not that often. Since nobody has mentioned it, is it still OK to drop your pants and moon the opposing sideline?

Correct. Any gesture with the intent to taunt the opposing team or fans is flagged. It really isn’t hard to understand. Only people that argue with it are those with an agenda or being deliberately ignorant.. Between you and I, I think the reason the Horns Down is so controversial is actually OU. It is the unofficial hand gesture of OU. OU has recruits from California throwing horns down in recruiting pictures. I see fans throw it in games vs other opponents. To totally ban Horns Down would actually be banning an OU tradition, which I think makes it difficult. For other schools, I think they are just trying to be little wise asses.

Here you are, moving the goal post. Why? Because you are such a pussy you can’t take it. Of course if a WVU player does it to a UT player it would be a penalty. That wasn’t the question though and you know it.

I usually respect what you have to say. But this thread you’ve shown nothing but stupidity. The simple fact you won’t even answer a simple question. Then you pretend to be stupid and not understand why a WVU fan would care about this. Add in the fact that you are trying to throw the term snowflake around while indirectly arguing for horns down to be a penalty almost anytime is just the icing on the cake.

To be fair, the Big East and AAC are a tad bit easier to win in then the B12, B1G and SEC. Plus brasky has that NC appearance in that time no matter how much they may or may not have deserved it.
 
I think excessive celebrations and taunting should be allowed. Only reason they’re penalties to begin with are because boomers get caught up in their feels about how things were when they were kids like anyone gives a fuck. We as a society need to stop pandering to boomers

Totally agree. The only reason this comes up every year, is the Big 12 leadership is brutal. Once again they spoke on this issue and said a statement with “probably”. Just say it is or isn’t, people will adjust. Probably isn’t an answer, so we will hear about this next year at Big 12 media day
