Interesting map that I saw posted on VolNation

How awkward do you think this is going to get when the PAC tells Bowlsby "well since you approached us that gives us permission to talk to your schools and we are going to cherry-pick 4 teams and screw 4 of your teams". Would you like to tell the 4 that are out are just let it break in the news?

No way the PAC wants Baylor or TCU, so they are out.

He has to know that going in.
Or maybe it's just a media agreement.

Which four?

Would a scheduling alliance mean the 8 are going to try and be a conference of 8 and hope they can get 2 Pac schools per team per year to give them 9 P5 games minimum along with normal ooc with others?

like for example
Oklahoma State - Arizona and Oregon State
Iowa State- Washington and UCLA
Kansas- Colorado and WSU
Kansas State- Utah and Oregon
TT- USC and Cal
TCU- Stanford and ASU

and then have 4 pac schools double up
Baylor- USC and Washington
West Virginia Utah and Oregon

??

I have no clue what they are trying to do with a scheduling alliance if I'm the PAC.. Big12 looking weak, and I bet this is Bowlsby idea..

won't this look worse as time goes on if the irate 8 are just another G5 conference?

Arizona, Oregon State and Washington State really struggle to get quality programs to give them home and homes. A couple of arranged games for some of those programs could be beneficial.

A merger really isn't on the table. This is about a potential scheduling alliance for TV purposes. There's also a huge difference between taking the meeting and signing a deal.
