Big 12 thread

One of the most delicious storylines from this hayseed drama is how it is looking like the dongers need OU to win this weekend, Jr to lose, and then will need to beat OU in the CCG to have a chance at making the CFP.

Fooking delicious, innit?

Only a 25,000+ spread between the highest and lowest..which is a good example of why I think the Big 12 will be the postrr child for parity next year. Throw in Utah, CU, Az St and Zona…

I don’t think those numbers would be that high for the teams that hosted OU and Texas this year. Take those games out…

the same bloggers/twitter reporters that made fun of the PAC attendance during the media wars of the past year and a half.. are now going to sunshine pump their way on how the Big12 is not skipping a beat..WITH those same schools they made fun of.. so ironic

I only went to the last two Iowa State home games this season, both night games. It might surprise you that there was a larger crowd at the Kansas Game than the Texas game. Not by much, but the Texas game was not the highest attended ISU home Big 12 game.

typically fans who know their team has zero chance of winning save their money for the next week in a more favorable game.. So I agree with you..

Had nothing to do with it. Both games were sold out. Kansas was Homecoming and is a bigger rival. Texas was Senior Day in Ames, and the Longhorns hadn't won there in a while. Point is that it's not like 40,000 were at one game and 60,000 at the other, but there were more fans at the Kansas game than the Texas game (difference was in the hundreds not the thousands). Iowa State fans show up to watch Iowa State play. Taking Texas or Oklahoma out of Iowa State home crowd attendance figures does not alter that.

no man you had no shot to win and the senior class you had all sucked.. just be thankful that we didn't run it up on you due to the cold weather

The ISU Senior Class was sparse, but the 5th year seniors did finish their career with a 3-2 record vs. the Longhorns. On to bigger and better things for both programs!

Not really, but it's better than 2-3. :)
who cares when they actually have a conference championship to show for it? :)

don't blame the players..it's Matt Campbells fault they don't play for hardware, they play for themselves...

can't wait til Disney makes a movie about him and casts an asian to play him
