Big 12 thread

We better freakin play.
right on, ralphie -
i know tech is anxious to get the taste
of that horrendous season last year
outta their mouth -

heard the eers lost quite a bit of talent -
what are yer thoughts on yer team -

Martin has great hands and is a great blocker. He fell victim to Mike Leach last year.

I like hearing that's he's a great downfield blocker.

I'll gladly take an all conference caliber receiver but with our depth at receiver and overall skill position talent I am not sure how many passes will get thrown his way. But if he steps in and becomes Ateman 2.0 then I'm stoked.

Wheaton and Byrd are getting some CB picks coming in for ou..
I don't trust anything on Wheaton until he actually signs. Kid has an elite poker face when it comes to know where he truly stands in his recruiting.

ateman and washington were deadly -

Hey buddy. WVU will be so so. We didn’t lose a whole bunch, but we had virtually no experience coming back except for an olineman and may be a defender or two That graduated. We have a bunch back but again they were inexperienced and didn’t look grand from a 5-7 team. I do look at how we finished last year and have hope. (Beat two teams outright on the road as double digit dogs)

But brotha, I just hope we play. How’s Tech look? We still owe ya from that absolute ass pounding you gave us in Morgantown last year.

i've only seen short clips
of the practices this year,
but i'm excited about this team's chances -
tech was alot better than their record
(cliche, i know)
and this'll be the 2nd year for coach wells -
i see the defense improving -
wr and rb lookin good -
i'm hopin that tech can surprise
a few teams that are lookin past em -

btw, we still owe yall a payback for '17,
when we were up 35-17 in the 3rd
and kliffy was able to give that game away -

good luck eers!
(exc 10/24)

guns up!!

he, LJ and Turner keep it pretty tightly to the chest. Brennan Thompson was the big secret player out there Drumm was talking about last night? Kid has some WHEELS

From aggy to tech..

Texas $9.95ers are now saying that Wheaton may not even have us in his Top 2 now.. SMU and ou then? Hopefully this means that LJ is silent with us? hopefully.

Riley won't give up on trying to derail this season lol

Good Lord. Now OU's band is shut down too for awhile. If we're gonna jump through our a$$ every time someone tests positive then we are kidding ourselves there's going to be a football season worth mentioning this year.

NORMAN, Oklahoma - Tuesday, August 25th 2020, 7:27 am Tulsa World
The University of Oklahoma's "Pride of Oklahoma" has suspended band activities after a member tested positive for COVID-19.

OU's band director says all future events are on hold while they work to figure out how many students had close contact with the band member. Brian Britt told OU Daily the decision comes out of an abundance of caution. OU Daily reports the student is in isolation housing as the university works on contact tracing. Britt says The Pride activities will start back up when they've been assured it's safe to do so.

It seems odd to me they aren't testing the staff as much as the players at OU.

Norman Transcript 8/25/2020
OU currently has 17 active COVID cases among its football players, the school announced Monday evening.

The university tested a combined 537 OU players and staff members across all sports on Aug. 17, Aug. 20 and Aug. 21. The football team had five players (out of 88 screened on Aug. 17) test positive for COVID-19. An additional player tested positive among 78 that were screened three days later.
