Big 12 thread

So with Texas and LHN leaving, does this open up the Big12 to get its own network now or stay as is iyo?
I would think they’d have to pickup more teams to have a network make sense.

they already have a network.....on ESPN plus
unimpressed michael keaton GIF

Without OU and Texas, how attractive would the network be?
Can’t possibly be worse than the ACCN , BIGNor PACn so..:noidea:

Ya bring in a BYU and maybe a few big market schools then they may be able to make up SOME of the difference in revenue. Still will be far behind of course but.. may also be enough to keep that conference floating........ like a big ol stinky turd...

Not if they want to become SEC officials they won't.

That's funny though.
Just a heads up that SEC refs let Bama run the pick play. No one else is allowed to but they have immunity.

Same with LSU’s offensive line and holding. The standard for them is greater than anyone else.

The current Big 10 Network pays more than any others, including the SEC Network.

BTN makes good coin for a "trash watch".

Why did you opt to exclude the SEC Network from your list?

Not 'trash watch'?
It’s not off the hook either but imo it IS a cut above the others and the content will be gettin better in the future.

They are screwed no matter what they do. The only thing that will save them is to bring in Notre Dame and BYU. I'm sure Notre Dame would love to travel to Lubbock and Waco.

It’s a trash watch tho, lil better than ACC & PAC

Actually B1G network has some decent content when it’s not a women’s volleyball replay or Gerry Dinardo giving his opinion on something.

Love when they have games from the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Also their Big Ten elite series is pretty cool.

LOL

No bias there. amirite?
None of them are world beaters I mean, end of the day we are talkin 3rd tire live events and reruns of old games mostly so..

The SEC tends to have the deeper conference (better 3rd tier and will be getting even better now) and more passion from the programs and fans ect.

Yeah. I was spot on.

BTN has some decent commentary and analysis. They show some college baseball since ESPN won't until Regionals begin in June.
BTN's got a good basketball lineup from December through March. Spring previews and games.
Kind of a dead period for the couple months of summer, then onto fall practice tours.

A conference network is obviously gonna appeal to the fans of the conference their favorite team's in.

If you think PAC, ACC, BTN fans are flocking to SEC Network because their own sucks, then LOL.

not sure they will flock but I'm sure more than a few would tune in to watch a game on there on Saturday..even if channel surfing between games

Heck even I've done that.
I've also done it on ACC network and did on PAC Network when I had it.

I think he was referring to non gameday content.

Most of the time I'd rather been on FS1 or FS2 watching a Big 12 game than Kentucky/Mississippi St on SEC Network though.
That's just me personally because of Big 8/12 roots. I'm sure someone in Tennessee would tune into the Kentucky/Miss St game.

When it's not Saturday, people are gonna watch stuff that applies to their conference. Highlights, analysis, etc

Speaking from experience....

BTN has better college basketball games and analysis.
SECN has better college baseball games and analysis

ESPN literally doesn't carry college baseball until Regionals start. I get my fill from these conference networks.

Conference nutswinger gibberish.

I don't find Coaltrain's lack of interest in PACN, ACCN, BTN, and bias toward SECN, surprising at all.

I'd expect it no different than my own bias gravitating to BTN.
