Big 12 thread

Who are we kidding. Like I said, they just want to sleep with 'em a while, not be committed to marriage. If the B1G and SEC came calling, they'd drop the Big 12, ACC or PAC 12 in a New York minute. So would any other school.

Like the new LIV golf tour. They'll pay certain "players" a ton of money regardless of performance.

Of course anyone would leave the Big 12 for the Big Ten, that goes without saying. The point is, if the Big 12 provides flexibility, they may end up with UW/UO long term if the Big Ten doesn't expand. It's a worthy gamble IMO.

Could be worth a try. I’d prefer the Zona schools, Utah and Colorado if I were the Big 12. Odds of them getting and invite to one of the bog 2 are nearly zero.

But, what the hell do I know. All about the Benjamins now instead of good football.

1) ACC teams aren't paying that GOR
2) Oregon and Washington could join the Big 12 but I've heard people on ESPN say a move to the ACC is more likely. I think UO/UW would move to the Big 12 if the Big 12 offered them more flexibility with the GOR.
1) the B12 can wait on the ACC, no B12 teams are jumping to the ACC
2) it makes zero sense for UW/UO to go to the ACC. It's not like it'd be some sort of bump like going to the B1G pay wise and geographically it's a nightmare.

I wouldn't be opposed to a relaxed GoR for all. What's that exactly mean I don't know but The B12s gotta know if/when the B1G/SEC come calling those said schools are as good as gone.

I agree but to be fair where is the zona schools, utah and Colorado really going to go anyway? The sec is a definite no and I doubt the B1G is going to come calling for them. They will wish to be in the B12 the moment the PAC12 is done. But the B12 may need them to kill off the Pac12. The PAC could have done that to the B12 last year and I bet the B12 is mindful of that. At least I hope.

Just a better “fit” than the coastal teams imo.

Here's a good bar bet: How many Lincoln Riley recruits ever became All-Americans?

Answer: Zero. OU never had a Muleshoe-recruited All-American.
I was thinking CeeDee Lamb but I guess he was a Stoops recruit also.

Edit-looked it up and he's at 798 now. So better?

Gundy got a high number because he followed up the new Commish and his thoughts on poaching other schools

I still think you guys are better off Independent than in a Conference unless that Conference can provide you a solid TV contract. You can control your travel, opponents, tv deals, etc.

It isn't even close

Tennessee/Kentucky 53–14–3
