lol we aren't mad.. as long as they are all top 100 players I'm good with it. I know Cook is a stud WR (best in TX) and Williams is still a composite 5 star (not sure how that happens when he's ranked as a high 4 star on the 4 sites)..
We just got Muhammad, we are working on Toviano, Hill seems like he's leaning towards us.. Then somehow, someway I hope we can make a real run at DJ Hicks.. all of those players are top 50 with Hicks/Hill 5 stars and Toviano also borderline

Nope, not if Oregon and Washington go to the Big 12. Okie light and Oregon are better programs than over half of SEC and Big.

If the Big 12 added Oregon, Washington, Utah, Zona, ASU and CU, they'd arguably be one of the top conferences.

Ain’t mentioned in this article but I could also see the BIG waiting for the Big12 to make its move of taking the AZ schools (which has been talked about forever now) plus CU and maybe San Diego State (for the market) or Utah , killing the PAC then stepping in to get Washington, Oregon, Stanford and Cal to go ahead and polish off “what’s left” so they don’t look like the superpower picking on the 3rd world country.

I really doubt the Big Ten cares about the optics at this point.
I'm also not convinced the Big 12 is just going to add teams for the purpose of adding teams. I think the Big 12 should feel good about the 12 they have and only start adding teams if some valuable brands get shut out of the P2. Think Oregon and Washington in the PAC and a couple of programs in the ACC.
I hope you are correct. From what I’ve seen, estimates are big 2 will get approximately 95-100 million a school and the others about 40-45 million a school. That’s a huge gap.

The B12 adding the four corners or 2 of the corners is to prevent the P12 from killing them off in a year, much like the Pac could have done last year.
Now stating the LA schools would have left no matter what is true, but the B12 getting at least 2 PAC mortally wounds the PAC. There is no one the B12 has left that will kill them if they leave. (Singular) Thats why adding schools from the PAC is Important to be that third wheel.

Big 12 exit fee will prevent anyone from leaving the Big 12 for the PAC 12. I think the Big 12 should be more confident about their future and be more selective about their additions. The landscape has changed, I doubt anyone is leaving the Big 12 anytime soon.
That's why I don't think they need to rush and add the first mid tier program that says yes. That seems like a panic move that's not needed. Bigger prizes could fall into their lap if they are patient.

I'm just going on what people have said. Big 12 fans on twitter seemed insistent that a Big 12 couldn't leave for the PAC without a huge exit fee. Maybe they were just FOS

Who should the B12 really hold out for that’ll move the needle? Realistically I don’t see anyone in the ACC that would come the B12 should hold out for. The B12 best bet is expanding now and forcing Oregon and Washington’s hand, at least for the time being.

When the Big Ten is done expanding, Oregon and Washington would consider joining the Big 12 if they aren't included. Taking the worst programs in the PAC isn't going to force their hand. Arizona and CU are not valuable programs and can easily be replaced. There's no reason to for the Big 12 to bring on programs that probably don't add any value.
When the ACC schools become available, some of them may join the Big Ten and some may join the ACC. However, it might not be as many as you think. It's going to be a high bar in order to add value to either conference. Some big name programs like FSU, Miami FL, Clemson, etc. could be available and aren't going to prefer staying in a diminished ACC.
Keep in mind that for every school the Big 12 adds, they have to keep splitting up their revenue more ways. That's why I don't think you jump at the first "yes" you get. Hold out because some big names could become available over the next 10-15 years. This isn't the time to panic and add CU IMO

The PAC 12's GOR expires before the Big 12 GOR expires.
It makes far more sense for PAC teams to go to the Big 12. Therefore the Big 12 by-laws would remain in effect.
