Big 12 thread

so Jerry World is tied to the Big12 CCG til 2030.. SEC agreement with Mercedes stadium is through '27

Gonna be interesting to see if Jerry continues the Big12 one after 2030 and I wonder if the SEC signes another 10 year agreement with Atlanta in a few years

I would be shocked if the SEC moves away from ATL. The convention space next to the stadium brings in a ton of revenue associated with the game. It’s a tough venue to replicate.

Honestly, that's not as bad as what the #2 guy said. BY had to push back against the narrative that Texas and OU carry the conference considering they're leaving after this year.

That comment was much worse IMO

yall think we crazy when we tell you them suits have a hardon for us.

they sound like a bitter ex who can't deal with the rejection....and act just as bad too.

toodles bitches.

You been to Jerry World?

Also with the expanded playoffs... I think CCG games won't be as big..

For a conference that can't wait to move on from UT and ou, they really do talk about them

BTW it's not that we rather lose to other programs, it's the fact that there is no value in this conference as it is.. Bowlsby was bad, but compared to Beebe, he seems like a savior but he really wasn't. I wish Yormack was around in 2008

I'm sure Jerry World is fantastic and by reputation, it is one of the best football venues in the country but the SEC Championship game has really become an event with the game just being the exclamation point. The convention space next door to the stadium holds all types of events days leading up to the game and is a huge revenue generator on top of the game so it's not just about the venue and the game itself.

As for the CCG game not being as big this is the SEC and it just means more and you'll understand that at some point and come to realize that if you get two SEC big dogs together and put a ring on the line it's going to be a big event regardless.

Welcome to big-time college football and we understand there will be an adjustment for you.

literally just last year the Big XII ccg would have had an impact.
the teams still get in but Utah jumps to the 4 spot bye. the matchups shuffle from there

Time for the corner again and just wait there until we call you.

I think much like us, they’ll have growing pains. This is a step up in competition. Also you can discount the travel. I understand they traveled a little before, but they also had away games in Florida. That’s not happening anymore.

I just don’t think we’ll finish behind every newbie. Mostly for the reasons I have above. BYU and Houston travel probably didn’t get worse and if it did it’s not by much. But Cincy and UCFs most certainly did. They all might have the talent but doing it week in and week out is the biggest challenge.

For Brown, he absolutely needs to beat Pitt. No one is expecting to at PSU, but beating Pitt is the first priority. If he beats Pitt and gets to 6 wins, he’s likely safe.
Upon further review( Heard Brown on radio today) ... I didn’t realize all of that Oline was returning this year, I thought some had moved on via graduation/transfers.

Yea I think I’ll change my tune on WVU as well, they might actually be a bit of a sleeper for 6-8 wins if the QB spot gets settled.

Hopefully man Oline has some studs, atleast 3 of them are getting drafted somewhere next April. Im more worried about the receivers the secondary and the QB situation. Really hope Marichol is the guy but I know Greene’s ability to run has some people excited.

This team at minimum should be a bowl team. The schedule in conference is no where near as tough as last year. But the OOC is fuckwad tougher.

I just want football back though. 51 Days(for WVU)

If the call was mine I’d go with Greene just because he has the wheels to get out of trouble when things break down up front and can also use him from time to time on designed (“safe”) run plays to help that part of the offense.
WVU’s best teams seem to always have a mobile QB and it’s tough to get top of the line OLinemen at WVU (as well as bout 80%of CFB programs) so I’d stick with that philosophy as much as possible.

I'd still rank KSU 2 overall but no lower than 3rd ... I get the schedule is lining up easy for ou... but I think KSU will still be good this season. They return their OL that includes 3 6th year players.

Sure looks like OU got a nice departing gift from the Big 12 with that schedule. jmo
