Big 12 thread

These newbies are going to have a real wake up call imo. 3 of them have schedules that are stratospheres tougher then last year.
I'm not so sure. I think the conference will have less extremes between the top and the bottom. Games should be more entertaining to watch than others. May not bode well for getting a team in the CFP. Seems the best way to get teams in the CFP is to have separation in the conference.

Look at last years schedule compared to this year. It’ll be an eye opener imo.

thats why i dont like this point people have been making in various places about Cinci making the playoff and somehow its a feather in the cap for the Big XII now that they are there.
they made it there off the AAC. big difference in playing Temple, South Florida and East Carolina and Tulsa and Navy than playing TCU, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and TT

I’m not sure who has been saying that (I’m sure there is a few) but nothing is further from the truth. The B12 has nothing nor should ever claim a Cincy playoff appearance in 2021 as their own. But I’m sure some will. It’s stupid.

There's a difference in claiming it and promoting it. It is a feather in the B12's cap that they got a team two years removed from making the CFP.

Laughing at myself here, as I read this post and was like which team is @ericd7633 talking about? Had to go back a post to see that it was Cincinnati. What is so funny is that I was at the Cincinnati vs. Alabama Cotton Bowl and still had a WTF moment!

Two all-time greats. They always were good friends. Who are they?

Gazing into each other's eyes and feeding sugar to each other off their finger tips?

Hell of a CBB league.

There have been rumors of Gonzaga and UCONN as basketball only members with UCONN as a full member if the Pac 9-8-7 raid doesn't go through. The thought is at some point conferences will take over running the NCAA tournament from the NCAA and that will generate substantially more revenue from the sport so invest now and get a bigger share when it comes to fruition.

After the Beebee and Bowlsby years it's finally nice to have a commish that is playing chess instead of checkers.
