Big 12 thread

1st tie-breaker is records of 3 or more team will be compared against eachother in a mini round robin..

That means Texas and OU are in if they win out based on 2-1 records, while ISU and OSU would both have 1-2 records
I look forward to the rematch. OU 55 UT 21

y'all haven't blown out Texas since Mack back in 2012.. and have played a majority of those games with a heisman contender/winner.. yet the biggest margin of victory for y'all was 12 points in a rematch in the same season.. So spare me with the beat down talk.. Screen Shot 2020-11-16 at 1.38.43 PM.png

No. I don’t listen to that nonsense. Someone at worked mention Herman was asked about Meyer rumors. I laughed and said “well it is Kansas week, what else are they going to talk about”

Why are you so sure you are going to get Urban?

Also, why do you want him so bad? Shit follows him everywhere and then he has a breakdown.

I think the Meyer thing is just fan optimism. It may or may not happen. It just makes a lot of sense from the Texas side. Last 2 coaches were short on HC experience and weren’t from the P5. The program is getting hammered in media and from rival coaches on development. A guy like Meyer gives instant credibility.

I guess it would interesting to see how he would field a staff. Most of his guys are HC's or at solid programs doing really well so he kinda would be starting from scratch on that front.

Just a gut feeling.. i have a friend who's wife the secretary for Tom. Trying to get her to give me some info before she retires at the end of this year

He has his former DC already in Austin right now, Chris Ash

he's coming back.. him leaving tosu wasn't the way he wanted to go out. He might nix UT next month, but he will be somewhere else coaching by the 22 season.. He's the same age as Saban was when he took over Bama.. that fire is still there

That is the thing about a guy like Meyer. He knows how to build a staff. That is what tripped Strong and Herman up in their tenures. Not to mention Urban can most of his top choices. He isn’t quite Saban in that regard, but coaches want that Urban stamp of approval on their resumes

I'm not super confident about this game for some reason. Jr.'s occasional Bedlam wins are actually more common in Norman than they are in Stillwater. And maybe it's just me but I don't see the sizzle in Rattler's runs like a lot of other people do. The kid doesn't run hard nor is he particularly evasive. And we'll need a running game with him included to keep the ball moving. I'd bet we'll win but no way I'd give points on this one.

yeah i'm not sure what exactly happens but I do know ou has looked really good since Dallas and Gundy likes to turtle his way to loses when it comes time to play ou.. Will be watching it, hoping for a good game come saturday night

Scores from last week's games for the "no defense" conference and the "defense" conference.

Are Big 12 defenses getting better or offenses getting worse? I'm going with offenses getting worse.

Are SEC offenses getting better or defenses getting worse? I'm going with both.

Week 11

Big 12

Texas Tech 24 Baylor 23
West Virginia 24 TCU 6

SEC
Kentucky 38 Vandy 35
Florida 63 Arkansas 35
Ole Miss 59 South Carolina 42

Frickin' 2020. What else? Sun rising in the West and setting in the East?
