Big 12 thread

The Big 12 is severely overrated. I don't care what they are rated. The league is bad.

Chuba Hubbard is not the best running back either.

Thanks for you well informed opinion.. Chuba was the best back last season despite him having a rough day today. okie light had two of it's best OL transfer prior to the season.. it was known that they would have some issues early. They need Sanders badly as well.

Maybe..just maybe the Big 12 should have just did conference play and they could still be "severely overrated" yet no one would ever know like some conferences who won't be playing OOC schedules this season?

But hey that's me..I just know Texas should run the table in this conference.

He seemed off today, but after it became apparent our backup quarterback wasn't going to do much, it really limited what he could do. Both him and Brown looked alot better when we changed quarterbacks right before the start of the 4th quarter.

Also, no one is talking about this, but we limited Tulsa to 275 yards and they were 0-12 on 3rd down. It's Tulsa but they run the Briles offense and their quarterback is going to get drafted. Offense stunk when the 3rd string quarterback was in, but we aren't Ohio State and just don't have plug and play depth everywhere.

Iowa State limited Louisiana to 272 total yards and literally had one bad defensive play. Still lost by 17.

Not good that OSU only scored 16 vs. the Golden Hurricane, and ISU only scored 14 vs. the Ragin' Cajuns.

The Iowa State @ Oklahoma State game might be the lowest scoring Big Xii game of the year!

The first drive was 76 yards but that was where Sanders got hurt. From then until Bullock's INT it was awful so yeah, if we get down to 3rd string quarterback again we aren't doing squat.

I fully expect for OSU to score 48 at minimum on WVU. I really wanted you guys to crush Tulsa so next week would be a close scare. No chance of that now.

Our offensive line wasn't great and your DL is solid. We seemed to figure it out in the 4th quarter though.

No one is talking about our defense. How did it look to you?

Your defense didn’t look bad, admittedly I didn’t watch to much unfortunately. (on the way back from the beach). Still I fully expect your offense to wake up with a week of practice under a new QB. Unless of course sanders will be back, then you’ll score over 50 on us.

Yeah, if Illingworth gets first team reps it will help. He got something like 10 reps in with the 2's and 3's in the fall. He had to sit out 14 days due to contact tracing and just cleared quarantine before the game so it will be fun to see what he can do running the offense next week.
 
Its still Oklahoma and the 9 dwarfs until proven otherwise.

Bout 3-4 more years, if that, and it will be former members OU and Texas and the new members of the AAC..

Yes 5 straight, 2 Heisman winners and #1 overalls. But texass is back baby!
 
Truthfully, folks, I'm worn out with the Big XII stuff. We either need to beef up the conference or Oklahoma needs to move on to a better conference. Yeah, we'll win a lot of Conference Championships but I don't want to be in a comfy little conference just for the money where it's just us and maybe one other really good team each year. COVID-19 has ripped a helluva hole in the financial fabric of college football and don't kid yourselves. A LOT of schools in all the conferences are going to still be sucking pond water even if the seasons go back to "normal" after 2020. Realignment can't come soon enough for me.

damn.. that's the new ceiling for ou football.. Conference Championships with Heisman winners/candidates and a steady growing gap in losses in the postseason...

Guess Texas really is the only hope to "save" this conference.
