Reported Sunday, Terry and Kim Pegula, proprietors of the Buffalo Bills, announced that they would be seeking full funding of a new stadium for the Bills through taxpayers’ money. Talks between the Pegula’s and New York State took a turn when the ownership announced — shortly after their taxpayer-centered proposition — that the team would consider moving to Austin if their bid is not accepted.

I don’t know why you would pick Austin over San Antonio but whatever.

"downtown" stadium or bust

How many owners need to vote No to stop a move?

Austin would fill the stands for sure. Bring it.

I’m betting it wouldn’t hurt any of the player’s feelings. Texas doesn’t have state income tax and what a weather improvement.
who cares about the players? They will play wherever they are being paid to play.

the fans suffer if the team moves.

Texas already has two NFL teams. Why add another?

Florida has three teams and that state doesn't support professional sports. Bills in TX would get more support than the Jacksonville Jaguars. Not saying Bills in TX is a good idea, but it's still better than some alternatives.

Austin would not support an NFL team. There are better places to move to.

That's probably just a blackmail threat to get money for a stadium.
Yep. Mario Lemieux did the same thing- successfully, in 2007.

I'm reserving San Antonio for when the Lions move.
