It's a crazy year, but because the early season tourneys were pretty much not played, here's an interesting thing.

The Big Ten which is the #1 ranked conference and getting seeded so ... these are its good OOC wins as a conference...

UNC
UCLA
Duke
Louisville
Va Tech

Tell me if I missed anything, but pretty much all bubble teams except for VT (who was beaten by Penn State). In a normal year that might be the OOC resume of a single team.

Gonzaga alone has a massively more impressively OOC resume. Of course, you could say that of Gonzaga versus every conference.

I think they have no choice but to do it this way, but there could be serious craziness this year.

Yeah,

Obviously eye test tells you the big 10 at the top is super strong.

But it also shows the massive flaw of all the teams having strong metrics.

Should of went the college hockey route and chucked metrics out the window.

Yeah for the B10 not only did they lose the big OOC tourneys but they lost the Gavitt games AND the ACC is really down. So pretty much 75% of their opportunities were gone before they started and they lost the 2 huge OOC games to Gonzaga and Baylor

There aren't a lot of great wins by the conference. Basically those above along with some of these I found:

Loyola Chicago
Toledo
Syracuse
VCU
St. Louis

There are some other Q2 wins like ND, Liberty etc but those don't really move the needle much.

Interestingly enough, Clemson has a GREAT OOC resume, surprisingly.

Loyola definitely also a good win.

Basically the bottom of the conference pulled weight and set up the top teams for high seeds.

The bottom of the league did do good OOC, which definitely helps. But I do think most of the losses are excusable. Iowa lost Gonzaga, Illinois lost to Baylor, IU lost to Texas, Nebraska lost to Creighton.

But that's what makes a strong league.

Illinois also lost to Mizzou.

And nearly Ohio.

Took them a minute to find themselves. Were even a little shaky early in Big10

WTH? Is Kansas resting their best players? We couldn't even beat North Texas or Rice this year.
hell if i know -
bout to flip over,
now that the tech game is done -

34-20 at the half -
