Georgia hasn’t had a home night game all season and the only home games remaining are Tennessee and Georgia Tech. Tennessee has already been announced as a 3:30 kickoff and everyone knows Tech will be a high noon kickoff on the SEC Network

We had those cool LED lights before Bama did and we’re not even gonna get a chance to use em this year.

What's going on in here? Oh, talking about the CFB equivalent of rope-lighting?

Can you take some of ours? Jesus. We had Hawaii for some god forsaken reason and now MSU this week, and then fucking Rutgers is having us as a 7:30p kick next week? I'm tired of the night games. We've had ZERO 3:30p games this year, all noon games otherwise. And those suck for tailgates. Fox is killing the 3:30 slot in favor of "big noon kickoff" .

I think I heard that the last time a defending national champ didn’t have a night game was Michigan.

This is a good thread. This happened to my Miners last Saturday. Player safety is a good thing but how far should it go?
During the college football game between UTEP and FAU, a wild sequence took place in the fourth quarter when a UTEP player blocked a FAU extra point with his helmet. The force of the ball knocked his helmet off however, and since he initially chased after the ball, he was penalized for illegal participation. FAU got to re-kick and made the extra point to tie the game at 21-21.

I just want a couple night games a year. I’d gladly trade time slots.

We need the LED lights and the phone flashlights at work.

Dat's booshit.

However, there's also a Block in the Back from UTEP's #13 on FAU's #10.

Duh fuq is the Texas Western reference? Thought I was watching an FCS game.

Some of that throw back bs I guess. If they want to do that they should just go back all the damn way. It was first the State School of Mines and Metallurgy at El Paso but I guess that wouldn't fit on the jerseys.

Night games in the Midwest are unnecessary Luckily ISU has only had one home night game so far (K-State). OU is an 11 am kick (better than a night game), and WVU is a 2:30 kick (Perfect). Hopefully, they don't put the last home game vs. TT under the lights!

I see UTEP plays Nebraska in 2024. They've never played each other.

It would make sense. The first Michigan primetime game at home wasn't until 2011 Notre Dame.

Seems to be Tenn would be a great opportunity for a night game. Is this kickoff time written in stone?

So far we've been lucky. This Saturday looks like it's going to be a high of 63~ish and sunny; which is basically winning the jackpot in Michigan in late October. If we got unlucky and hit a 45 degree evening with rain, it would suck royally. It's OK in September, because it's usually really hot mid day so it's nice to have the cooler evening. But more than 1 night game a year is unnecessary.

Surprisingly besides the Oregon/Georgia game I don't think I've even seen a Georgia game on TV? Granted I haven't really been interested in them since I see most of their games are like 42-6 but I remember the couple of times I tried to look for their games and couldn't find them.

For everyone who complains about the PAC-12 Network, I have the same problem with the SEC Network. I don't get SEC Network or ACC Network.
