Stan Bowman is gone and the CEO said any executive left over from 2010 will be fired as a result of the sexual assault investigations.

Joe Thornton must be cursed, goes to a Cup contender and the coach is involved in an organizational sexual assault coverup.

Is he the player who was bad-touched?

I think Joe probably knew that there was a chance that Quenneville would be implicated by this investigation when he signed with the Panthers though.

Looking at the roster from 09-10, it was Patrick Kane. Only guy who was 20 during the season.

Explains his crazy behavior at the time somewhat.

uh...i have no idea what this thread is about...blackhawks? florida panthers? what the hell happened?

Chicago covered up for a gay rapist video guy. Who then took his rape game to Miami of Ohio. Then finally went to prison after raping a HS kid in the UP.

John Doe was a practice squad player.

Ah, okay.

Kane goes back to just being crazy then.

I suspect that many in the know and around the game have a very strong and confident suspicion about who the player is (as do I). But in the bigger picture it's not the important issue here. I know that I am not telling you anything that you don't already know and I apologize for being serious, I know that it's probably entirely unexpected.

And Kane is definitely a shithead

Whoever it is, it sounds like he’s out of the league and possibly pro hockey entirely.

On the face of it, it’s a bitter pill to swallow. It’s not like Quenneville knew about Aldrich’s molestation beforehand and was holding anyone down. The “team chemistry” argument is perhaps somewhat valid also, considering NHL playoffs are very much about momentum and the team did win the SC. But to not take any precautions at all, puts players at further risk and opens up the organization to a shitload of liability (that is now coming due).

If it’s me, I’d quietly hire some big ex-goon like Jeff Beukeboom to follow him around for the duration of the playoffs and ensure he’s never alone with anyone. Then, can his ass in the off-season.

I'm sorry but I really do think that you need to get the police involved when someone comes to you with something like this. Not can someone's ass in the offseason.

As I understand it, the incidents fall somewhere between Jeffrey Toobin and Harvey Weinstein: Aldrich jerked off in front of the guy, watching porn, and then tried to bully him into sex by threatening his career. No touching ever occurred. Then some other players made a complaint to the front office, and it was swept under the carpet.

It doesn't rise to the level of a police complaint necessarily, but I'd say the guy should be fired for cause. It's at the discretion of the organization when to do it, assuming there's no imminent risk that the guy will escalate or harass someone else. He definitely shouldn't have been allowed to celebrate with the team, march in the parade and get a SC champion ring -- that's a bad look.

You need to read the report I think. You seem mistaken about what happened if you think that "no touching ever occurred".

Okay, I was wrong. I got to page 4 and that's some rapey shit. Shoulda been Law & Order: SVU immediately, and his immediate firing. Poor bastard probably had his career derailed by this too.

The news reports about it are a little sanitized, I guess. :cautious:

If it's who I think it really breaks my heart.

As I said above though, it's heartbreaking no matter who it is.

It's really really bad. I'm hoping that people/the media's relative silence on the matter will be over now that the investigation is done, this can't just be brushed aside after a few resignations.

Is ESPN showing the interview that's on TSN right now?
