Just got my first one today. Anyone else gotten one yet?

I get Amber and Silver alerts, so this one was confusing. It’s like a BOLO for the citizenry when someone has hurt or killed a police officer.

This makes sense, I’m just waiting for some jackass wannabe to try to chase down or apprehend such a suspect.

I’m not sure if it’s just Florida so far or what. It was so new and unusual it precipitated many news articles and stories today on what that was.
 
I have still never heard of one.
Does it only happen to someone in your county or state or what?

Good fill in on it. 35 other states. They say there has been two other alerts in FL and the program clearly has been around for a bit, but that’s the first I’ve seen of it.

I’m about 70 miles or so from Daytona, so it’s not greatly out of range. Maybe they do target these to certain counties. That would make sense.

I got one today. Figured it was a normal thing in Florida or whatever.
 
Got one over a week ago.

how Come there isn’t a black alert or white alert?
 
I think I have all of my alerts turned off other than the tornado and hurricane ones.

Ok, like a silver alert, but for us younger folks. Interesting.

As one could imagine we get LOTS of silver alerts in FL.
