It may be that Bo's girlfriend told him that he needed to go get himself tested because of a diaphragm problem and Bo just misinterpreted what she was telling him

My son went to London Ontario to a Seizure clinic in 2005 while they were exploring possible surgeries to eliminate his epileptic seizures.
They open his head up and wired him up like a Borg.
For the next 3 years we had to be very careful if he got the hiccups to nipt them in the bud right away. Because if they got a foot hold he'd have then for 3 or 4 days. You could go in at night while he was sleeping and hear him hiccup.
So if he ever had them we made him drink water and hold his nose and breath while doing so until they stopped. If they decided to stop. Which wasn't always.
