That is true.Harrison was the best musician of the Beatles.
No question.Harrison was the best musician of the Beatles.
Eh. Thats part of it. I just think his songs blowMusic tastes are relative, and not liking something doesn't exclude appreciating it.
Most arguments against Dylan revolve around his singing, which is funny cuz i find bands with great singers to come off as too polished and overproduced and like they're trying too hard. I like an edge to my music. Somewhere between tin can garage and over produced autotune bullshit.
Some of my favorite bands/artists have horrible singers by the set standards.
there are plenty of 30 yr olds who still listen to Backstreet Boys without #ButtStuffWithCody's involvement.
and if you don't sing along to NSync's Bye Bye Bye when it plays in the grocery store, GFYS
nu metal is the shittiest of shitties.
You stick to listening to your Justin Bieber collection and let the adults discuss music that was created before you were born.
No, but it's close.mkay... so... just to be clear... you got NSync & Dixie Chicks over Korn & Slipknot?

Each to his own, but he is widely accepted as one of the greatest songwriters that ever lived, so you're gonna be battling uphill on that most the time.Eh. Thats part of it. I just think his songs blow
I hate Justin Bieber and almost all the music of my generation. I love classic rock as that was played at our home growing up. I just think the Beatles are overrated. You stick to listening to your Justin Bieber collection and let the adults discuss music that was created before you were born.
A good songwriter but a terrible performer. Each to his own, but he is widely accepted as one of the greatest songwriters that ever lived, so you're gonna be battling uphill on that most the time.
I think the dude is amazing. Particularly in context and time. Not many better lyricists.
And if my thought-dreams could be seen
They’d probably put my head in a guillotine
But it’s alright, Ma, it’s life, and life only
1965^^^^
And that is the last verse of what could be considered a parable. Incredible poet/writer.
I don’t agree, but can understand if Dylan’s voice puts them off, but to say his songs are shit is just wrong. He had a bit of a rough patch in the 80’s, but even his new stuff is good to meEach to his own, but he is widely accepted as one of the greatest songwriters that ever lived, so you're gonna be battling uphill on that most the time.

I like quite a bit of former Beatles' solo stuff, including Wings, but not Ringo's.I’ll give you the Beatles even though I’m not a fan, but Wings? Better than Lennon’s solo stuff, but still.
Yeah. Terrible. . .A good songwriter but a terrible performer.
I've always liked Beatles music, but my appreciation for them jumped when I put a chronological context to what they were doing relative to their peers. Really groundbreaking stuff.I started about 4 weeks ago in learning a small catalog of Beatles songs. When you start seeing the chord progressions is when you start appteciatingbtheir skills
I’m really not a fan of the Beatles, but most of what I said yesterday was just exaggerations and doubling down in response to this thread taking off after being quiet for nearly a month and people responding to the wrong part of the OP(McCartney ain’t got shit on Dylan) instead of what the thread was really about, which was honoring Dylan on his 80th birthday near a month agoI like quite a bit of former Beatles' solo stuff, including Wings, but not Ringo's.
Wings' album Band on the Run is solid. My highlights are songs Band on the Run, Let Me Roll It, Helen Wheels and Nineteen Hundred Eighty Five.
There are also some great Lennon Tunes. Watching the Wheels might be my favorite, but there are at least a handful of others that I really like. Mother is haunting because of how charged with emotion it is.
My favorite Harrison tune is Give Me Love.
I can't think of any Ringo songs that I like. I wouldn't turn off the radio if It Don't Come Easy came on, but if I never heard it again, I wouldn't feel like the good Lord had gypped me.
Cool. Not all conversation go straight line. If Dylan's birthday leads to a discussion of the Beatles, let it beI’m really not a fan of the Beatles, but most of what I said yesterday was just exaggerations and doubling down in response to this thread taking off after being quiet for nearly a month and people responding to the wrong part of the OP(McCartney ain’t got shit on Dylan) instead of what the thread was really about, which was honoring Dylan on his 80th birthday near a month ago
How old is Ringo? Dude looks like he’s still 45Happy Birthday to Sir Paul. 79 and rolling
No lie, that may be my least favorite Beatles song excluding the Twist and Shout and I Wanna Hold Your Hand early stuffCool. Not all conversation go straight line. If Dylan's birthday leads to a discussion of the Beatles, let it be![]()
