ACC head coach leaving for NFL coordinator position, per report

College football head coach is leaving his position in the ACC to become a coordinator for an NFL franchise.

Harley is going to be the DC for the packers.

I’m sure time spent in recruiting, NIL, Portal plus all the other crap you would have deal with at a school like BC just wasn’t worth the aggregation anymore.
 
Timing kinda sucks.
Also, 30 day portal window is open for BC players now. Iowa should steal their QB. He ain’t bad.

He'd be perfect for them. Been saying for years that they should focus on getting a mobile QB so they can generate some offense. Sure aren't doing it through the air.

That’s true for prob 85-90% of CFB honestly.

There are only so many good OLinemen to go around and the blue blood types tend to stockpile those so, makes sense to have a QB that can make plays while running for his life/help with the rush yards ect. Plus the NFL likes a mobile QB now too.

The days of QBs being statues in the pocket a la Matt Ryan or Phil Rivers are gone. Big reason Ohio State gave McCord the heave-ho. He's nowhere near good enough a passer to get away with having -65 rushing yards on the season.

QBs need to be able to tuck it and high tail it at times. Pretty deflating to a defense when they’ve shut things down and the QB gets away gets a first down or scores.

Best possible way you could put that. A QB scrambling for 8 yards on 3rd and 7 is the biggest nut punch outside of scoring a TD.
 
They should hire Mora at UConn. He’s still at Uconn right?
