Nice, I bought my wife a Rx350 during Covid. She had always driven 4 door pickups or suburbans before, so she loves to be able to park with out needing a blueprint3 year old Lexus GX460. Dealer out there. She had to have certain color scheme and package.

One thing of note on that trip: Strawberry CA is absolutely a beautiful place and one I have dreamed of visiting again before I die.
We were on a trip and long story short that highway was the only one that had a pass open from snow. Would not have gone that way from Vegas if first one was OK. Vegas to LA many times but Oakland is a different storyWell these days mini vans do have some pick up for sure... Never heard of Strawberry, CA

We saw a snow tornado and we were above it.
You were very lucky then for sure!We saw a snow tornado and we were above it.

My best friend had one of those...what a piece of shit that thing was. He even had to put a milk crate behind the drivers seat because the back rest wouldn't stay up.
Fuckin' thing was like driving an aluminum can.
"A paramount engineering achievement from Yugoslavia..."
I mean, even back in '85 this should've been a totally obvious bullshit line to pretty much anyone
I wish we had camera phones back then. You were very lucky then for sure!
Meet the 1969 Subaru 360 (advertised as cheap and ugly)...Heh...my dad, grandad, and a few uncles ran a used car lot. One year, they bought a trailer load of junk cars at auction, and one of them was a Yugo with "Miss Teen USA" emblazoned on the side. It had the year, as well, can't remember it now but basically that thing had been awarded as a prize and was a piece of crap less than 5 years later
That awesome.Meet the 1969 Subaru 360 (advertised as cheap and ugly)...

356 cc engine (which needed oil mixed with gas) with three-speed manual transmission and a top speed of 60 mph (barely) and weighed under 1,000 lb. Non-synched 1st gear was a pain. Had to come to a COMPLETE stop to go back into 1st gear.
13 in wheels and suicide doors and my teenaged legs pretty much reached to the front end which housed the spare tire..
My dad wanted to grab a cheap car for his commute and this was cheap @ $1297 at the time. Had crazy times when I drove that car.
Looking back, I wonder why I'm still alive after what I put that car through!![]()
