This is probably a bad question, but me and some college football friends always find the bowl games we like the most outside of the playoff and watch those two or three games. I know some of you will say that these players are opting out, this team doesn't wanna be there, etc. Anyways, which bowl game you looking forward to the most outside of the playoff? I am gonna go with the Citrus Bowl. Illinois vs. South Carolina. Maybe the Texas Bowl, LSU vs. Baylor, would be my second.

The Snoop Dog Arizona Bowl.

Then the Pop Tarts Bowl afterward.

I’m eyeing:

USC vs TAMU
Boston College vs Nebraska
BYU vs. Colorado
Missouri vs Iowa
Alabama vs Michigan

I’ll say the Las Vegas bowl USC vs TAMU is the most exciting to me right now

USC- aTm
UNLV- cal

Florida v Tulane

Obviously SC-Illinois and Baylor-LSU

Also Miami-Iowa State, Colorado-BYU (weird), Duke-Ole Miss. There's almost always a lesser bowl with a MAC vs. Sun Belt or something, that turns out to be a classic. I think WKU-JMU or Ohio-Jax State could be those kind of matchups

I understand Tech has tripled their ticket purchase from last year and have sold out of their allotment already. Vandy is doing well also, looks to be on track for a sellout.

GT VANDY
BYU COLO

I preface this by saying if most of the players play, these are the two I'm most interested in:

OU vs. Navy
Syracuse vs. Washington State

I've been in the camp that it is okay for players to opt out of bowls mainly because teams can use them to build for next year. Now I'm not so sure because I think the portal opens again this spring so you could be fooled and lose some you may have been counting on after their bowl performance.

I guess it could work the other way too. You find out during bowl prep/game that they aren't going to help you next fall so you are glad to see them go.

Heard this the other day. "Now you put more emphasis on building a team, then a program. Put less stock into developing a player and more into one that can help a team now. You may not reap the reward for developing them."
