Brian Kelly

still much different than being able to recruit at FL/Bama/GA/UT

He was able to convince admissions to give him some leeway, but it wasn't much

Utah?

I think what I implied went over your head anyway. Catholics are a large segment of our society. ND has always pretty much gotten the pick of the litter from those private catholic schools. Nebraska has lost a few 4 stars through the years to ND, simply because it's a Catholic school compared to University of Nebraska. It's what tipped the scale.

Catholic schools (K-12) are higher learning than public schools (K-12). Their schools put out far more doctors, lawyers, etc. per capita than public schools. Their athletes are more likely to qualify academically. It's just a fact.

I have a very good friend who's kid was recruited to Creighton Prep to play baseball. The kids tuition was paid for by a Creighton Prep alum neighbor.

Is it me or does that sound weird and pathetic?

What has he won?

Tuberville, Malzahn and Chizik all won more than Kelly.
I guess I am surprised he reached this that quickly or that Rockne did not have more than that

lmao pick of the litter..sure.. when was the last time BK at ND had a top 5 class with his pick of the litter? wow had to go back to 2008 where he had the #2 class.. highest class since was #5 in 2013.. still not like recruiting in the south or even tosu

Still going over your head, bro.

For the 3rd time, I'm talking picks from Catholic high schools, not dumb fucking public school miscreants that can't do 8th grade maffs.

ND will never recruit like a tosu in the midwest.. much less the power programs of the south.
These next couple of classes may be changing that, at least on the defensive side. They plucked verbal commitments from a couple of OSU targets.

We’ll see if that lasts, however. Kelly has not been a hands-on recruiter, he’s left that to his staff. I can only think of a handful of recruits he was personally involved with, notably Stephon Tuitt where they had to flip him back from Ga Tech.

yeah noticed they are number 2 now but no offense not taking that as a sign right now.. and i say that with UT being #3 right now.. I know they are going to fall back around the 10 mark come december.

But ND finds kids.. they got a good one in Mensah from Texas a couple classes ago.. he flew under the radar til the very end

Yeah. They’ve had a few guys like that. Owusu-Kormoah was an afterthought. He’ll probably end up as a perennial pro bowl linebacker

Taking Notes GIF

He's already 60 years old.
Money isn't everything, and a pay raise at ND might keep him put.

We'll see what's on the man's mind.

This is the weirdest rumor to date maybe. I'm not sure why either one would want the other....BUT....it would open the door for Urban Meyer to go to Notre Dame.

:boink:
