Yeah, we have well water. Our well water is pretty hard, so we have a water softener. And we have a reverse osmosis system for drinking water.

No issue with slimy water.

uhhhhh, I think you have me confused? I haven't even been a prime member for like....6 years now? I make, on average...1? purchase...maybe...on Amazon a year and that's only if I can get a credit card credit for it...

Maybe it’s just how frequently you talk about Amazon, but I distinctly remember not knowing what Prime Day was until you got all excited about back at SB.

Yea, but you just had me do a time study on this, recreating the process for no reason to show you how long it takes, tying up me and 3 other resources watching me the entire time, for hours for no reason. This after having me walk you and 3 other resources through the process so you could create a flow chart. I do this report 4 times a year, so you saved me 8 minutes a year. It will literally take DECADES for the return on investment for this to even begin to make sense.

Well, either they are not very good at their job (you are supposed to identify significant non value adds), your 2 minute save was just part of a larger initiative, or this is able to be utilized with multiple team members and or departments.

At least my friend is paying for the Airbnb in Portland, so we just have flights (and offered to help the one guy who doesn't have money).

But he's also made it very clear that you really do not have to go if you don't want to.

Nope. One single report, produced 4 times a year, by 1 person in my department only.

Did quick math and it will take 120 years for it to break even.

So, that's fun.

Essentially we have these kung fu masters within our team for 2021 to try and make us more lean. They've worked with I think 6 other departments in the last 3 years and have squeezed out like 2-3 hours worth of work combined. So many occupations are completely fucking wild to me. Auditing and Process Improvement shit is near the top of that list.
 
@Bender we had the parade covered though. My wife and I with all 5 kids sat with my aunt from FL, my uncle & aunt with my 2 step cousins & significant others & 1 kid of step cousin, and then cousin N1 & significant other with 3 out of 4 kids of his. My aunt from FL had all 4 of her kids on parade floats. My brother and his gf were on the fairgrounds as were my parents.

He's made it clear that there isn't any pressure to go. So people can be adults and decide if it's a trip they want to take.

Not counting spending on doing things, I'll probably have about a grand wrapped up into it (not including SA's share), and that's with using points for my Portland flight.
