"Buyer's Remorse" in Tampa Bay

Just imagine if Brady had had more “weapons” in New England instead of a pile of retreads. After Gronk and Deion Branch, the best receiver was... who- Wes Weller?

Put some respeck on David Givens name.

"Just imagine if Brady had talent around him."

Wow.
Go back over the Brady-Belichick years and list all the great talent on offense. It's a hodge-podge of cast-offs, a few decent players, and a bunch of crap. Certainly the same could be said of San Diego, Washington, Cincinnati and Detroit in that stretch. That the coaching staff in NE managed to get a good result, was amazing for any two Super Bowls in that stretch, let alone 6.

How was the OL Brady played behind? Was it swiss cheese?

No, the consensus is that Brady was given above-average to great OLs. The same with defenses. But most people don't consider OLs to be "weapons".

Then why is the most dominant LT almost always taken near the top of the draft? These guy stood behind the great wall of china his entire career but it's one of the first things his fans blame for his shortcomings. That and a lack of talent surrounding him. LOL

It's no secret Brady's an immobile, pocket-passer. His numbers in Tampa are on par with what he's done in NE. This despite Brady being my age and playing in a tougher division.

Great. So we both agree he's a stat-padder surrounded by league-best talent. :suds:

Sorta. I think he's an above-average QB that has gotten astonishing results out of below-average talent in the receiving corps and backfield. Yeah, if the offensive line had been crappier, then he's Jake Delhomme. And if the defense had been crappier, then Brady wins about as many Super Bowls as the Bengals. Overall, I think Belichick's more responsible for getting the most out of Brady and the mediocrity around him, than Brady is. Brady's chief attributes are his steady quality play, and longevity.

I can't believe we're talking like Brady playing behind Ogden or Walter Jones...

Peyton was never sacked 30 times in his career. Brady was sacked 30+ times in 7 seasons....
