Im shocked that after more than 20 years he is still a posistions coach. Not sure why he never advanced. Not a big loss as a coach but he is a good recruiter. He was tight with Pettaway who is the best receiver in texas. That would be a blow if he ends up at A&M or Alabama but Gundy as a coach can be replaced.

Yeah if you include his playing days he was there like 30 years, more than half his life. He should have at the very least been a coordinator by now if not a head coach somewhere.

Yeah I wonder if there is more to all of this, like either someone else wanted him our or he wanted out and this is the excuse they are using. A truly inadvertent use of any word isn't grounds for a firing/dismissal/resign.
