Caleb Williams to Nebraska?

Honestly, Martinez was scary to me. He took a lot of broken plays which a normal QB would take a 5-10 losses into positive plays. The O-line did him no favors with the Olè blocking

And it's not like he had a ton of weapons to work with either. He may have had some costly turnovers but I think some of that was just dumb timing.

It’s easier to blame him rather the fact that there just isn’t much talent there and he was actually covering up for much of the deficiency.

devils advocate: What if the talent was there but he couldn't get them the ball, and was too quick to just assume everyone was covered and run with the ball?

If you watched the Michigan State and Michigan games, he wasn’t running until after first contact. The backup wasn’t doing any better.

Get the degree from Nebraska and walk away with some form of legacy. Transfer and you got nothing.

Martinez graduated in May.

no. we dont want anything from columbia infesting lincoln.

maybe this one doesn't eat its own boogers at least.
You mean a guy who's QB'd two bowl-eligible teams?

Yeah after watching Nebraska the last five years I'm not surprised

:heh:

I missed those games. All of Nebraska games, actually. Maybe saw 15 minutes all season. 🛋️

Thought I would get an NU fan saying Scott Frost did too. :pound:
Capt Frosty relies on the Special Teams coach’s input to make adjustments.

This can't be good for Frost, if next year is the year, Nebraska is supposed to turn the corner. While Martinez wasn't a superstar, after seeing the backup play -- Martinez was clearly the best QB on the team.

Does Nebraska have a QB recruit coming in?

Frost is not good for Frost.

He's a lame duck HC. He's restructured his contract down to $4 million/year and a buyout of just $7 million.

Being that he fired 4 offensive assistants, what quality assistant is gonna want to take those positions knowing they might only be there for one season?

The time to fire Frost was after the Iowa game (or even in the next month or so) since the new contract has already been inked and signed.
This was supposed to be a small recruiting class anyway (hence their ranking).
The opportune time to give a new coach a shot is now. Frost went backwards in 4 years. I wouldn't kick the can down the road for another year or two.
I couldn't care any less about the competition of other jobs being open (USC, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, etc). There weren't any Saban's available for any of them either.
ALL new coaches are a gamble. Time to fold that shitty hand and gamble again.

Why doesn't the dumbass just graduate? There is literally no reason for him to transfer as he has started for 3 years and it's not like he is going to move up and compete for a championship anywhere else. His only move is down to like a Liberty or something.
