Caleb Williams to Nebraska?

Frost is not good for Frost.

He's a lame duck HC. He's restructured his contract down to $4 million/year and a buyout of just $7 million.

Being that he fired 4 offensive assistants, what quality assistant is gonna want to take those positions knowing they might only be there for one season?

The time to fire Frost was after the Iowa game (or even in the next month or so) since the new contract has already been inked and signed.
This was supposed to be a small recruiting class anyway (hence their ranking).
The opportune time to give a new coach a shot is now. Frost went backwards in 4 years. I wouldn't kick the can down the road for another year or two.
I couldn't care any less about the competition of other jobs being open (USC, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, etc). There weren't any Saban's available for any of them either.
ALL new coaches are a gamble. Time to fold that shitty hand and gamble again.
agreed.. not sure how his recruiting is going but this is an easy negative recruiting focal point. Miami is making the same mistake

Like I said, it was gonna be a small class anyway, but it's going from bad to worse.

Now's the time to make a HC change. Cut the $7 million check. See ya!!

I agree -- it just seems bizarre to have Martinez bounce now. The backup wasn't bad, but he made even more mistakes than Martinez. Is there a QB coming in that Nebraska is going to rely on or is it the guy who played against Iowa?

Hell if I know. For now it is Smothers who played against Iowa who is a redshirt freshman.

Id love Martinez at Iowa

If that doesnt tell you how bad our QBs are then mothing will

So, i just saw the oddest stat. Apparently, Martinez leads Nebraska with the most 250 yard passing games (16) in school history. Who tracks 250 yard passing games?

Was that all the Martinez's combined?

That's what I think I read on the ESPN ticker!

To be fair, must be hard to do, as Brock Purdy (2nd Team All-Big Xii QB this year) only had seven 250 yard passing games this year.

exactly.. everyone of us would (if we actually could) choose to play another season if allowed. Frost probably told him he was going in a different direction. No shame for AM to hit the portal and find a better situation for him. Pick up another degree while at it.
I really doubt Frost is that smart.

There have been a lot of receiving and passing records broken at Nebraska in the last 15 years.

That is because Nebraska rarely passed the ball prior.

I'm not sure CW is going to Nebraska.

I'm not sure any Sooner players are going to be going anywhere anytime soon.

If this shit is true............:faint:

This is fake news. No way Martinez has been at Nebraska for less than 10 years.

Fuck all you guys.

I just thought about him at Michigan State. Damn. Nailor, Reed, Walker and Martinez. So many freaking weapons. Thorne just is not very good and isn’t a real threat.

Thorne still seems like a pretty big upgrade over the prior QBs (Lewerke/Lombardi)

Quinn Ewers hitting the transfer portal. MSU? Nebraska?
