So if no Williams and no Dart who does USC throw out there at QB1 on opening day?

Miller Moss...he's a redshirt freshman, was a 4 star recruit. They'd need to bring in another QB from the portal because the only other QB is a former walk on.

There seems to be some thought that Dart is waiting to see what Caleb does and that he will stay at USC if Caleb goes somewhere else. There's nothing concrete, just speculation on why he hasn't committed anywhere yet.

I wouldn't trip at all. If Dart goes elsewhere as does Caleb, SC will be fine. LR would get Moss ready, and if push comes to shove, the portal is going to be even more open after the spring games. We have already seen tampering, you know that SC will let it be known that their QB position is WIDE open, and disgruntled QBs will give it a hard look.

Agree and honestly, I'm almost to the point of not caring what he does. Just make a damn decision and quit holding up the portal. His Dad seems almost like a quieter Lavar Ball.

Riley seems smart enough that he's likely already got Moss working on things he needs to improve, both to get him ready if he's needed this season and for the future.

In two years let's see how many of these kids get into big trouble because they did not file and pay the appropriate taxes. You are going to have guys two years in the pros and under IRS audit and if they can't pay the tax the IRS will levy their employers.

this guy is talking out his ass.. what marketing company is taking 25-30% of the cut? And then you add 36% tax, guess he figures that everyone is making over a mil?

and OMG kids not living up to their potential because they are chasing money..or girls..or drugs? That shit happened way before the NIL stuff.

At UT they are doing the taxes for the players on their deals. I'm sure everyone else is too. I wonder how we made it not knowing tax laws while we were working at 16, 17, 18, 19..

Once you hit $164,926 you are at 32% and it can go up to 37%. I have no doubt some of these firms are taking a 20 to 30% cut. It tiers up and he isn’t exactly right but the beginning logic is there.

Plus this is 1099 income so you have to pay self employment tax of 15.3% on net profit. That’s on top of the income tax.
