Caleb Williams

The end of college football has already happened.

How much did his daddy ask for/get from OU?
I'm assuming more than he asked for and didn't get from A&M. Sumlin told Kevin to eat shit and die.

Really think he's gonna end up in Miami with Brady. There's no other OC rumors at MIA other than Brady from what I can gather.

BTW this doesn't make Caleb or even his helicopter dad look bad.. You know who else has a helicopter dad? Bryce Young

He's doing his due diligence on finding a good spot for him. Not sure why people want him to make a decision already, aren't they the same ones who will yell at a kid for transferring out?

The new coaching staff at OU will make changes in the program that will shock some people. Expect AD Joe Castiglione and President Herroz to support those changes 100%. You can expect a few more players to exit stage left by next summer because of the changes. They're willing to tear some things down and go through a rebuilding process if that's what is needed to have a higher ceiling.

I need numbers, not speculation/assumption...or quit crying about it.

So did Todd Marinovich.

Hmm, sounds like what Strong tried to do in Austin.

No speculation at all. Kevin wanted guarantees that Kyler would start and he wanted a spot on the staff to ensure it. Sumlin told him to pound sand. Kyle Allen had won the spot and then got pissed that Sumlin even entertained Kyler as much as he did, so they both left. Good riddance to them both.

yeah BV is really Chuck coming in.. I mean chuck had experience as being the head man at Louisville but was also a title winning DC.

The big difference is that Chuck was tied to a new idiot as AD in Austin who is a notorious penny pincher. BV has an open checkbook and freedom.. plus has Bob and Joe right there to put their input on the program.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out, i think most sooners are really ignoring how good of a coach LR was because he didn't get them over the hump in the CFP.

"Some people are born on third base thinking they hit a triple." - Barry Switzer
I was wondering where Harbaugh heard that quote from -- That's how he ended his news conference after beating OSU this year. Instead of born, he said -- some people wake up on third base and think they hit a triple in reference to Ryan Day.

Bob was in a funk too.. til he hired LR

But time will tell if LR was just a piece of the machine or if he was bigger than that

Beating Texas every year before and after doh.
well Mack blew out Stoops his final year and Chuck beat stoops with a WR at QB.. But yeah ou was a machine...

In some ways Oklahoma has always been an outlier in college football. That likely accounts for most of why some people hate us and some people like us. But one of the most unique characteristics of OU fans is the vast majority of us simply don't give a F about winning anything other than national championships. With all the talent we've had and all the games we've won, one NC in the past 36 years is disgusting. The conference titles and individual awards are nice but an NC is what defines whether or not a season was a winner or a bust. In many ways 2021 was one of the worst seasons in OU history. We started out #2, played like crap, lost games, the HC broke weak and bolted...... It was disastrous. And most OU fans know it was a trend downward that had started well before 2021. Muleshoe being out is like finally having that heart surgery you've been putting off. If everything comes together under BV, then maybe we'll get back to occasionally winning those elusive national championships because in the end nothing else really matters to OU.
