Caleb Williams

with about 30 pgs telling us how bad of a QB he really is

Which could still prove to be accurate.
Following LR to USC was one thing, the rumors of Caleb going elsewhere were simply about NIL monies. It seems 'elsewhere' didn't want to commit to whatever said NIL levels were requested.

it would be dumb not to take EVERYTHING in consideration.

I agree.

He was for sale on the open market, and it doesn't appear he was offered as much as LR QB coaching.
My guess is USC didn't offer much more (if anything) beyond a basic scholly.

I think they are missing a few guys and a few teams in the deal. The sheer amount of elite recruits Oklahoma lost, not only current players transferring out, but the 2022 and 2023 recruits they lost because Lincoln Riley left is crazy.

If Lincoln Riley was able to get that talent to come from the West coast to go to Oklahoma -- he is going to build an absolute monster at USC with the talent they have in that state.

Oklahoma got screwed in that deal
Maybe. Maybe not. We did end up with Jeff Lebby and he will now have Dillon Gabriel as his QB who only has passed for 8,000 yards in three seasons. And Jackson Arnold just committed to OU to make the future look better than it did a month ago. Plus we now have a HC that believes in defense. Or maybe we'll never score again and we're destined to fade away into the night with only dreams of faded glory. But if anyone is betting on that to happen they should think twice. OU will be fine.

Enjoy the drama USC!

"he will never leave, he is a top 5 coach"
to
"enjoy the drama"

in just a few short months. :pound:
We will see what kind of coach he is now. Have to build a program. Bedenbaugh made him look like a genius. That USC o line is not good. I hope Caleb doesn't get killed out there. Then there Wiley as the strength coach lol. So glad we got Schmit back(sorry about that by the way).

One of these days NFL GMs will learn to not waste a top pick on a USC or Ohio State QB.
lol.. how bad have the QBs been that LR touched? Baker? guy won a heisman, typically Heisman QBs always go high, unless your an idiot like that coke head with the longhorn tattoo.

Yeah Kyler and Jalen are doing terrible for being starters for their teams.

NFL will always reach for QBs, it's what they do.. so they aren't going to say no to an SC QB all of the sudden

Baker, Kyler, and Jalen all are on a downward slope. None have delivered anything of note.

At some point it’s a trend. If I owned an NFL team and my GM drafted a QB from USC or Ohio State before the 5th round, he’d be shitcanned on the spot

You going to the Tech game tonight? Lincoln Riley ain't got shit on Chris Beard. I see tickets are going for four figures. Tech fans won't disappoint.

Oklahoma now has Central Florida's QB and OC -- and you think that is upgrade? Do you see the recruits Lincoln Riley has had commit to USC, just since he has been there? 2023 he already has 3 of the top 26 recruits with verbals to USC. All were going to go to OU.
When you add in Raleek Brown, Caleb Williams, Mario Williams, McCutchin and the others who have left Oklahoma (spencer rattler, Jaden Haselwood, Stogner) -- That is an absolute ridiculous amount of talent. It isn't as if elite 5 star recruits grow on trees. You only have 25-30 a year.

OU just lost like 8 of them if you include current and potential who have transferred or decommitted. Now the pipeline OU was using to get many of those 5 star recruits is shut, because the HC who built the pipeline is now at USC.
