A lot of my friends are in a dynasty league together. One of my buddies turned down a first round pick for Ridley last weekend

As with anything sports related these days it’s more complex than simple for me. I’m a rules is rules guy too. I get the rule as even a player in Ridley’s position could have been fed info. Even if not true (seems it wasn’t) it leaves a bad image for the league.

Still….a year for gambling, while the league is cozying up to sports books like Shelly Marcone? Meanwhile thugs who assault and abuse others get less.

Par for the course with this league…it don’t make no damn sense.
 
I saw a tweet about how someone after reading the Ridley story he got a sponsored tweet to gamble on NFL futures.

I'll appreciate as much as anyone the irony in him getting hit with this suspension all while the NFL cozies up to gambling, but not wanting players to risk the integrity of the league (and possibly even mess up these gambling contracts).

As for the outrage his punishment vs. woman beaters, DUIs, etc. that I get. It sucks we're at a point where the NFL sees this as more of a credibility hit than the aforementioned crimes but that's just the reality that they do.
