alot of talk regarding how many scholly's Nebraska has out right out and they need to cut back.

if the NIL can pay for 20 of these kids tuition, I guess they can be considered walk ons and circumvent scholly limits?

I think this has been going on for some time now anyway.
I thought Nebraska was famous for it.

They were back in the day. There haven't been too many walk-ons break through for a while that I'm aware of.

Jared Tomich was a walk-on.

Famous for it and better because of it seem not to be the same thing.

Do away with scholarships for NIL athletes. Why over think it?

Isn't there a cap to the number of walk-ons you can have ??
This is another example of the NCAA behind in the times. NIL has changed the landscape. So restrictions on walk-ons and scholarships needs to change. There should be another set-aside for NIL compensated players.

If I didn't despise the NCAA so much I would take it over and run it and get shit done

Or....we just need to remove scholarship limits. It's entirely pointless now. Kids can freely transfer and schools have to have larger rosters to try and plan for kids bolting when they don't get a starting position.
