Can we forfeit next week at Georgia?

Georgia was only 35 point favorites over Vandy and Vandy is far worse than Mizzou

If it wasn’t for the OP I had completely forgotten about Missouri. Not even trying to troll I literally haven’t seen one thing about Missouri all year

We do have a stud RB and Kicker

Missouri starting WB, Connor Bazelak(spell) has been ruled out tomorrow

Is the backup any good @Mutiger ?

Our backups are better than Connor at this point...he is not playing well. I thought Mizzou actually played ok at Georgia.

You're 4-4 and beat A&M.
Calm down

You're right where you've always been as a program.
Deep breaths

I think they are 5-5... not much difference. I know they are 1 win from being bowl eligible.

That spread is huge. I don't bet on UGA games, but if I did, I'd probably bet on Mizzou to cover. UGA is a decent offensive team with an elite defense, and Kirby isn't gonna run up the score.
I'm going to remember this for the vbookie.

Take Mizzou and the points.

Missouri has pretty much turned into South Carolina Jr. Basically they tend to have a breakout year or two and then go back to being a 5-7 to 7-5 type team most years. Tennessee has been in that mess for a while as well.

I actually think Mizzou can get better than USCjr if they get a good coach. They should be able to shut down their state better than USCjr that has to compete with Clemson, UGA and other SEC schools. While SEC schools obviously go after Missouri players, there is a distance issue. The top WR in next year's class chose Mizzou over UGA, although that isn't over yet. They have always had to deal with OU, so them coming into the SEC shouldn't make a difference.

You don't even recognize a great set up.
yet...nobody bit

That was the team Mizzou had under Odom...Pinkel avg 9 wins per season his last 10 years.

Drinkwitz brought in a top 25 class last year and right now he has a Top 15 recruiting class for 2022.

Burden is a Mizzou lock now...its over

Yeah, Mizzou was up under Pinkel but so was South Carolina under Spurrier and the two had comparable runs at both programs. Both programs have a lot of potential but tend to fall around .500 most seasons until they land that great coach.

I would say the two programs are pretty comparable overall. Tennessee is on that level right now as well with two 9-4 seasons under Jones and an 8-5 season under Pruitt that saw us go 5-3 in the SEC. (If Pruitt didn't lose the two opening games to BYU and Georgia State, they are either 9-4 or 10-3 depending on bowl game as bowl game would be different). The only difference is that Tennessee has a strong history prior to the firing of Fulmer versus Missouri and South Carolina who don't have that history.

I would put Kentucky under Missouri and South Carolina as a program despite the fact that UK has had better teams over the last 5 seasons.

Most likely you are probably right, but I've followed recruiting for a long time ... it's never over until the LOI gets signed.

The B12 is looking for new teams...maybe yall should apply?

Drinkwitz's recruiting's prowess at least gives me some hope this program could become one that is competitive in the SEC East. Not going to be Georgia but have a shot at the division title every few years like the Pinkel years. Of course recruiting =/= development or on-field coaching but there's more hope now than in the Odom years.
