Seems like the CF was playing a little shallow for a 9-1 lead with one out to go.

Justify this thought.
…Two outs two strikes. You’d definitely went to play shallow since hitters gave two strike approaches that tend to have them hit with less power.

I guess it’s different with a no hitter on the line, but generally with an 8 run lead with one out to end the game, you play so nothing gets over your head.

Why? That run is meaningless.
