Which was my question. Normally there would be a reason like to kick off Pride Month, he’s getting engaged or something…not just some random Tuesday. If not, then props to him

Because if you do it on the first day of Pride month you don’t run the risk of pulling a Michael Sam. But by how the media has reported on it, his way is 99% better than what PR firms would have had him make the announcement.
