Carlos Santana is now 74

Such cool artwork...

The days of albums were great for their art. CD's, now dvds and downloads screwed up a lot of very cool stuff. Todays loss as far as I'm concerned.

Drive-by Truckers release new albums constantly and I’ve always liked their cover art

Never heard of them, but southern rock...cool.

You're buying albums? That's awesome. I've thought of going back to a turntable...but just haven't ... mainly because it's not so easy to get albums anymore. I am reading albums are making a comeback.

I digitally buy albums

The band is tight. And I love that song.

What I also like and have seen in other recordings of Santana concerts from that era is they exist. And the sound and video quality is good.

I wish the Allman Brothers had been more into video. Lots of early Stones concert footage. I've got a half assed Zeppelin bluray that could be a lot better but at least exists?

I tend to think David Byrne enjoyed Santana.

There’s several videos of the Allmans Fillmore East concert on YouTube. Whipping Post, One Way Out and In Memory of Elizabeth Reed for sure are there

with the revival for vinyl, a lot of artists do have album art out there still.

I only have one Drive By Truckers album but all their album covers are done by Wes Freed...as are their tour posters, which I have a few of.

Ahhhh...not the same but you still get the artwork. For me, the desire to go back to albums is really to get away from digital music. It's not anywhere near the same or as good.
are you an audiophile or are you just talking out your ass?

No, I wouldn't say i am because i've not actually converted back and started collecting again. But i don't believe people born today have any idea how crystal clear each instrument can sound on vinyl. Bad ass turn tables with broad ban equalizers and monster speakers was a must in almost every single mans apartment.

I guess it depends on the quality of the digital track, but that also comes down to your components.

I agree there is a certain awesomeness that comes with vinyl though
