I was just the opposite.

So sloppy on offense...so weak. What? 5 or 6 consecutive drives resulting in a punt? Who does that?

I guess it would be a plus that Bedenbaugh isn't getting any HC job because of the way his OL is playing....I hope its a plus anyway.

Bring on meaningless bowl game....we need the reps.

This Rattler dude isn't cutting it. Weak runner and no "pop" on offense right now. If it wasn't for Rhamondre Stevenson bringing our running game back from the dead, we'd be looking at a couple of more losses this year. Riley's not a great second half coach anyway but right now OU is playing with one half of the team not doing its part again. Wake me when this crap stops. We were lucky today. Big kudos to Iowa State......they should be super proud of their program.

Well played Sooners!

The Big Xii ain't for sissies no matter what the talking heads say! Have to win a 9 game round robin table AND play in a CCG to claim the trophy without missing a team (OU is forgiven for missing @ WVU).

OU's defense confused and hurried Purdy all day and ultimately made the difference in the game. Well earned and deserved Big Xii Champions!

I was thinking that Iowa State and OU need to create a Trophy Game, but it turns out we already have one in Arlington, TX! lol. Looking forward to a rematch next year!

Didn't see the game yet for two reasons. Work. Fvcking UVerse. I did follow it online as well as I could.

Congrats to ISU. I thought it would be close, and was.

Another B12 title for OU. Likely premier bowl game vs aTm, UF or some such SEC runner-up.

OU has made great strides since a 1-3 overall start and 0-2 conference start. The D was the difference this season. Great improvement from last season and prior seasons.

Just like Stevenson, I think Stogner makes a big difference in our running/dump pass game. He’s a great downfield blocker and has great hands. Troubling if LR/BB can’t get the run game consistent without him. Rattler has so much potential, but I’m starting to wonder if Caleb Williams might not give him a run for his money in Spring Camp.

Bring on the Gators. They have one of the few scoreboards on us and we need that back. Just ask DeMarco.

Exactly. I kept trying to find a word for Rattler's running style and then it hit me during the Iowa State game: "stiff". He's not fluid. Mayfield was always moving from his head to his feet when he ran even when we sometimes got a bit frustrated with him not turning it up field and just bull dozing for a couple of yards when all we needed was a first down. Murray was a gazelle; a once in a lifetime natural runner who could slide at top speed because of his baseball training. Jalen Hurts was a tank. But Rattler? He's got a running style that looks slightly timid but I think it's more just a matter of him not being a really nimble runner......"stiff". But he can throw the ball with anyone and he's a super talent that's always just a hair away from going nuclear. Honestly, one of my biggest concerns is Riley's play calling in the second half and in overtimes. I love the guy but damn! It's like he's seeing a whole different game sometimes than the rest of us with that conservative play calling he falls back on.

Are you serious? He’s a freshman. Do you realize he made about a half dozen throws Saturday that no one that isn’t going to play on Sunday’s makes. He’s an extreme talent and seems to have his head on straight. OU is a legit contender nect year.

He's a freshman with 10 games under his belt. Soon to be 11 games. 121 yards in the second half against Iowa State, 3 points and 6 punts in a row was really impressive. OK, I guess you're right. The offense was magnificent. And we almost didn't blow another game when the other team started coming back on us in the second half. I want the best for him but Rattler needs to improve a LOT or he'll be lucky to start one more year.

Edit: should have said more than one more year.

You don’t know much about college football if you really mean all that. He ran the plays that were called.

Did I question Riley's play calling too? Yes, but you're just reading what you want to read. I get it; you're a Rattler fan. OK No biggie. Just admit the play calling sucked again in the second half and Rattler's got a propensity for disappearing at inopportune times. Those are facts. Will it get better? Hopefully. If it doesn't then you'll be seeing some disappointing football next year again. Rattler should be playing like a sophomore by now. You don't know much about college football if you don't understand that.

Lol ok, whatever you say. I’m not a huge rattler fan, but I saw a half dozen throws very few playing the game at any level right now can make. That’s just the truth if it.

Absolutely. I totally agree. He's got a Sunday arm for sure but he still has some of the Friday night inconsistency he can't seem to shake. But in all fairness to him, his offensive line disappears at times and Lincoln Riley's play calling has been confusing at times this season. Let's hope it all settles out next year and he's a top candidate for winning a Heisman on Saturday. If OU can beat Florida, that would mean a lot. Riley still hasn't won a bowl game, losing to Georgia, Alabama and LSU. I'm delighted we play another SEC team because it's the best way we can have for seeing where our program really should be rated on a national level. :beer2:
