Penn St, Maryland, Ole Miss, & UCLA don’t get nearly enough respect and admiration for how consistently they all face-plant, despite having the location, athletes, and resources to do so much better.

It seems like Texas, TX A&M, Miami FL, UMich, UT, etc are the only teams who ever get due credit for how hilariously inept they are.

But the other four teams can underachieve with the best of them imo.

I wouldn’t put Maryland and Ole Miss in there with the others. Maryland has shit for facilities and has competing schools in the area like Penn State and West Virginia

Mississippi produces a lot of talent relative to their population, but it’s still a small population and not enough to supply two SEC schools in the state. Plus they’re sandwiched between Bama and LSU

I mean, he also has Michigan at 25... it's not like he's saying there's an outright champ.

1997 season. BCS to present are the only natties that count other than USC’s laughable claim of an AP title during the BCS era. You can largely thank the Rose Bowl.

Tennessee’s 1998 natty is the first that needs to be recognized

IDK, the modern championships are kind of lame. Georgia is out here facing teams that didn't even win their conference, and got blasted in their last conference game. Seems equally unfit.

Michigan had the chance to prevent that. There’s no hiding in the Rose Bowl anymore and that’s the big thing
