Yeah.... I'd replace Bama and Oregon with Oklahoma and Wake Forest until either loses. At that point, insert Bama then Oregon, then Ohio St, in that order.
The regular season is supposed to contribute to a play-off. Act like it.

Who needs the 200+ post thread at the top of this forum? Not El Jexan, gotta have his own :L

Yeah. Searching through a 200+ post prediction thread for the actual results is much better. You’re right.

So why reward teams like OU and Wake who haven't played anyone? You might as well put UTSA up there.

Why reward teams who didn't show up for ATM? Right now the committee is saying eye test matters more than wins and losses. Especially if you are G5 because a road win against a top 10 blue blood means less than a loss to a team with no pulse.

Why did they play no one compared to sec teams? Because sec teams are perma-over-ranked.

SEC SYCOPHANTS: “We’re not overranked… just look at our rankings!” #logic

Don't worry, there is a new team joining in a few years that much like Vandypants will not be ranked very often.

If OU wins out they’re in so the rankings are kinda meaningless week 1 but Bama at 2 is laughable losing to an unranked team should put them at 5 or 6 to start IMO.Cant wait for that OU “SEC” street cred

I have no response to this because my team currently sucks donkey maters

I’m interested in what you will cry about after you get into the SEC. You’ll be like the Democrats without Trump in office and no longer have excuses.

Because neither OU or Wake has lost to 3-5 Stanford, that's why.

It's not like I'm putting Ohio St ahead of Oregon.

Relax duckie, and take a deep breath.

Don't worry man......ya'll got those 7 wins in the bag!

Number of wins gets you the starting score, +1 for a quality win, + 2 points for name recognition, -2 points for a loss unless it's deemed a quality loss then its 0 points, other losses are -1, -1 for a bad win, +2 for being in the SEC.

There's your formula.

You forgot about the -50 if you are a G5

I don't have a problem with rewarding undefeated teams above all else but if you have WF up there, then Cincinnati should be up there as well. Their SOS is almost identical

No, no .no.....they don't discredit group of 5's....the others are just much more deserving...

What evs. Either Wake or Cincy would likely beat (3-5) Stanford.

Wake has a tougher road to finish than Cincy though.

As I said, the regular season is supposed to be a 'playoff'. It's what we've always been told regarding D1 having bowl games instead of a playoff like every other division in every other sport out there.

If the regular season is a "playoff", then act like it. If a team is undefeated 8 or 9 games into the season then they're doing something right. Put them above the losers until they themselves lose. When they lose then compare them to other losers.

I guess because they are rewarding Cincinnati with beating ND?
