CFP - NOV 02

What evs. Either Wake or Cincy would likely beat (3-5) Stanford.

Wake has a tougher road to finish than Cincy though.

@ UNC
N.C. State
@ Clemson
@ B.C.
Potential CCG

As I said, the regular season is supposed to be a 'playoff'. It's what we've always been told regarding D1 having bowl games instead of a playoff like every other division in every other sport out there.

If the regular season is a "playoff", then act like it. If a team is undefeated 8 or 9 games into the season then they're doing something right. Put them above the losers until they themselves lose. When they lose then compare them to other losers.

What does Stanford have to do with what I said?

Cincy still has to play SMU and Houston (AAC Championship). If you’re going to argue undefeated above anything else, fine. But you can’t ignore Cincinnati because their schedule is very comparable to Wake Forest

I’m interested in what you will cry about after you get into the SEC. You’ll be like the Democrats without Trump in office and no longer have excuses.
Who’s crying??? Simply Stating any other team losing to an unranked team ain’t #2 and if OU wins out there in. Not sure what your beef is

I'm not ignoring Cincy. I would have Wake ahead of them based solely on being ACC.

If it were Clemson, Miami, or FSU, at (8-0), sitting atop the ACC with Wake's schedule, we wouldn't be having this argument.

Oklahoma beat Kansas St who beat Stanford. Oklahoma also beat 3 win Nebraska. Oregon couldn't beat 3 win Stanford.
Oklahoma at (9-0) has done everything that's been asked of them. If the regular season were truly a playoff, they should be rewarded over those who haven't done everything asked of them.

Bama and Oregon should be sitting outside until Oklahoma or Wake loses.

The CFP rankings shouldn't be about what people think is going to happen, they should be based on what has happened and adjust accordingly moving forward into December.

Bama and Oregon lost.

Again, you keep making this about Oregon, that’s not my argument. My argument is Wake Forests schedule is no better than Cincinnati’s. If you want to put Wake up there, cool, but Cincy should be as well then.

Because it is about Oregon. They're taking a spot that rightfully belongs to others at this point in the season.

Regarding Cincy..... There are only 4 CFP slots. You can't fit 5 teams into 4 slots.

How much time do you spend trying to put square pegs into round holes?

Man you aren’t very smart. No spots were given last night, the discussion is about rankings. Take this shit back to the short bus

You have a mental disorder. The perceived spots were indeed released last night.

If this were December 8th, those Top 4 spots would go to the CFP. You can't get 5 teams into those 4 spots. You understand that right?

You're now in Scenario Village.

So you think UTSA should be ranked above Alabama.

Ok boomer.

No. My points from the onset have clearly been in regard to the two undefeated P5 teams Oklahoma (Big 12) and Wake Forest (ACC).

You duckies keep using mental gymnastics in dragging G5's into this to distract from the issue.

Your fellow ducky even went so far as to try and wedge 5 teams into 4 spots.

He then shorted his only two braincells with this dandy.......

The thread title is CFP. You know 'College Football Playoff'?

The CFP committee released it's rankings alluding that if the CFP were held next week that losers Alabama and Oregon would get in over undefeated Oklahoma and Wake Forest.

That most likely means they're looking into the future as opposed to the NOW.
After 9 weeks the rankings should reflect the NOW. Not what they think will be the outcome on Dec 8th.

Do you really think that IF Oklahoma or Wake Forest win out and are still undefeated on Dec 8th that they'll be left out?
Oregon getting the opportunity to play for the NC even though they lost to a 3 win team?

If either undefeated Oklahoma or Wake Forest conference champions were to also win their NY6 bowl there would be a massive shit storm for not giving them the opportunity to play for it all. Especially if the winner of the CFP were a one loss teams like Alabama or Oregon.

And yes.... Spots were given last night. Subject to change, but nonetheless given IF the CFP were to begin next week.
That's why the Top 4 have their helmets on the official College Football Playoff website and #5 and below do not. DERRRRRR

You lost the argument as soon as you went to "but they are an undefeated P5".

Just being in the P5 means nothing. The ACC is trash. Oklahoma hasn't played a good team yet.

If OU wins out, they'll get those chances to impress and jump over other teams with better resumes (like Ohio State and Oregon).

For right now, they are in the same bucket as UTSA -- they've won their games, but not against anyone of consequence.

Oregon lost to a 3 win team. Oklahoma and Wake Forest have not.

IF Georgia, Michigan St, Oklahoma, and Wake Forest win out (i.e. Undefeated conference champs) they will be the 4 teams in. You just need to accept that your duckies will be on the outs.

The in-season CFP polls should reflect the now, not some Scenario Village.

I reiterate...... If Wake Forest were named Clemson with the same schedule and record, they'd be in that CFP Top 4. Deny it all you want if that's what makes you feel better.

What I get is you acting like a bitch. You want to keep injecting G5's to somehow justify your mental disorder and distract from the two undefeated P5's that would round out an undefeated CFP Top 4. The here and now after 9 weeks.

You call the ACC and Big 12 "trash" yet a quick scan of conference standings shows....

The ACC with one 8 win/undefeated team, and three other 6 win teams.
The Big 12 with one 9 win/undefeated team, and two other 7 win teams.

The PAC12 with one 7 win/1 loss team (who's loss was to a 3 win team), and NO OTHER 7 or 6 win teams.

It's clearly the PAC 12 who is "trash".

I don't disagree that the PAC is trash. The difference is that Oregon beat Ohio State.

If you want to deflect and say "yeah, well but they aren't undefeated" then you are claiming UTSA should be above Alabama. UTSA has just as many quality wins as Oklahoma/Wake.
