GAME CFP ROSE BOWL: #1 OREGON DUCKS vs #8 Ohio State Buckeyes

Oregon comes into this matchup with about a month off, while Ohio State is coming into it after beating a weak Tennessee team. As this bowl season has shown, the SEC is not as good as many write them as. Ohio State got what I would call false hope and all hype, to head into this game as they think they have a chance. The #1 Oregon Ducks beat Ohio State before, and with just 3 games, 3 GAMES, to go to win their first national championship, the Ducks mindset is going to be on a different level. The Ducks have the best defense in the country and the most electric offense and dominant offense in the country. Oregon has walked through every opponent this year that the B1G has offered them, and this opponent from the conference will be no different.

Buckeyes will come in confident, thinking they are "back", but Oregon will quickly remind them that this is their conference and this year this is THEIR playoff. Ducks are the team of destiny this year, no one is stopping them. 3 games to go, take it one by one. January 1st Ohio State will be reminded that their rent is due.

So basically OD's beef now boils down to they should have gotten to lose to the buckeyes in the semis or finals, not the quarters so that they could have more feel feels about their season!

Outcome is the same.

He's bitching about seeding against a team that didn't even play for their own CCG and got seeded 8th, not the #2 team in the country ffs.

Ohio DL played well, but your secondary was unreal. They battered Gabriel, but many were because he held the ball so long because he had nowhere to go with it.

The big difference on defense was Cody Simon (#0) - he spied Gabriel all game and wouldn't let him escape like he did earlier this year.

Great job by the coaches and the defense.

If someone would have told me Michigan would beat Ohio and Bama to close this year out and hold both to less than 14 points, I would have asked them to pass me the drugs they are on.

What Michigan did in those games is control the line of scrimmage and confuse the QB -- it is almost exactly what Ohio did today to Oregon, except Ohio actually has an offense and Michigan doesn't. Gabriel had no clue where he was going with the ball on any drop back and looked lost.

I heard he was irritated with the way college football was headed (regarding NIL) but he still wanted to coach.....it's just easier to be an OC and not worry about the other stuff the HC has to.

You guys kept two spies on some downs -- you also didn't use man coverage much, which you did in the first game and Burke was torched in that game.

Ohio most definitely out coached and out game planned Oregon today. Very impressive display by Ohio's staff.

Cody Simon has had one of the wildest turn arounds I’ve ever seen. Guys been a liability a lot of his career but suddenly he’s one of our best defensive players.

The better team won today and no one watching comes away with any other view on it. The rust argument doesn't hold water when they were still being outplayed in the 4th quarter. Moving it back to a later week wouldn't have changed this outcome. OSU was leagues better.

Nope. Being the last standing member of the B1G in the actual playoffs over standings at the end of the regular season. This conference belongs to Penn State and Ohio State for now until they both sort that out. Ducks were 3rd when it counted.
