It’d keep them in the game!Clemson should consider hiring Todd Grantham away from Florida to help with their defense

Find a rule book, and maybe try to use some brain cells if you have them. Nowhere in football history have you ever been allowed to hit with the crown of the helmet.
It has never been legal in the history of football to lead with the crown of your helmet? They made that rule before a helmet was used for the first time?No it’s true, like I said used to that call coukd have been spearing. You can’t hit with the crown of the helmet, period.
Targeting and Making Forcible Contact With the Crown of the Helmet ARTICLE 3. No player shall target and make forcible contact against an opponent with the crown of his helmet. The crown of the helmet is the portion of the helmet above the level of the top of the facemask. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting (See Note 1 below). When in question, it is a foul. (Rule 9-6) (A.R. 9-1-3-I)Pretty sure that isn't true.
Every tackle leads with the head dummy, its been proven. No it’s true, like I said used to that call coukd have been spearing. You can’t hit with the crown of the helmet, period.
That's current. What about historically?Targeting and Making Forcible Contact With the Crown of the Helmet ARTICLE 3. (Rule 2-27-12) For fouls in the second half: Disqualification for the remainder of the game and the first half of the next game. If the foul occurs in the second half of the last game of the season, players with remaining eligibility shall serve the suspension during the postseason or the first game of the following season.

Rulebook is easy to find.
tOSU didn't want to be there.Does the transitive property make Northwestern better than Clemson?
My column:
Yep. Heads up tackle. What's sad is this is the kind of stuff that morons cheer, but it can seriously injure the tackler. It's that kind of stuff that could potentially end football as a sport. On that play specifically, if he keeps his head up, the pain of his facemask to the ribs is the same, but he's not putting himself at injury risk.
