The NFL is more money hungry than college football...which is saying quite a bit. Both the NFL and the NFLPA seem to be selling players health down the river for the dollar. No way anyone can convince me those players don't need 6-7 days to fully recover from the previous game. They play on Sundays/Mondays all year long. They could give up Saturdays in December and January.

That's for sure. The Chiefs did 3 games in 11 days in the month of December. Crazy

The NFL is king. They average like 35-40 million viewers for playoff games, which is roughly 2-3 times the amount that the CFP games have averaged.

Obviously if Oregon was still in -- the NFL would have switched the games to Thursday and Friday, as Oregon would have stolen all the viewers from the NFL.
