Would love to see it. I think all great directors should over thr course lf their career make a war movie and a horror movie as well. Almost all ha e too.

Stanley Kubrick
- Full Metal Jacket
- The Shining

Quentin Tarantino
- Inglorious Basterds
- Death Proof/From Dusk Till Dawn

Steven Spielberg
- Saving Private Ryan
- Poltergeist

Francis Ford Coppola
- Apocalypse Now
- Bram Stoker's Dracula

Roman Polanski
- The Pianist
- Rosemary's Baby

Inglourious Basterds isn't a war movie. It's spy fantasy set in war time, at best.

You’re prolly the type of guy that doesn’t watch Die Hard at Christmas, aren’t you?

It's absolutely a war movie.
Oh? No battles, just assassinations and terrorist plots. Being set in wartime doesn't make it a war movie. Still a good movie though. Tarantino's done crime noir, horror, westerns and whatever Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is.

It's a war movie just as Come And See, The Pianist and Schindler's List are war all movies too.

So for you, any movie set during wartime, is a “war movie”? A League of Their Own, Jojo Rabbit, 7 Years in Tibet… all war movies. No.

Jojo Rabbit is absolutely a war movie. Just like how The Deer Hunter and The Bridge on River Kwai are war movies.
