That's right up there with Mike Riley recruiting Noah Fant to be a DE.

Lot of good Michigan did with the title, dickhead.Hard to win on a team whose blue print is punting and field position. I couldn’t believe how helpless they looked in the B1G Title game.
All Iowa needs is a HC and an OCIowa is so uninspiring. Like back in the day looking for weed all night then you finally score and it’s all stems and beaners.

Our HC and OC ruins good QBs.

Petras sucks balls, but I've watched Ferentz ruin QBs for a lot of years.Petras isn't good.
Ferentz has been a good coach for Iowa. He's had 7 seasons with 10 or more wins in his 22 years.
10 Win seasons: 4
11 Win seasons: 2
12 Win seasons: 1
Iowa only had 3 seasons with 10 wins all-time before that.
Also got three miles receivingFormer Husker Wandale Robinson still says Fuck Iowa
While that is impressive, you have to acknowledge that there used to be less games so a 10 win season now is probably more like an 8-9 win season back in the day.Ferentz has been a good coach for Iowa. He's had 7 seasons with 10 or more wins in his 22 years.

I agree he's had some good teams while recruiting second tier talent and I've mostly been a supporter of his.Ferentz has been a good coach for Iowa. He's had 7 seasons with 10 or more wins in his 22 years.

There have been some "eras" during his time where a fan just wants to be done with him. Having Ken O'Keefe as his OC was horrible and when he finally moved on, the offense improved.
When Brian Ferentz replaced Greg Davis in '17 it seemed like we finally had the makings for a updated, more dynamic offense. Then Kirk rehired Ken O'Keefe as a consultant and now he's Brian Ferentz's "mentor". Now as everyone knows, our offense is stale as fuck. Would Kirk really fire his own kid? I don't think so, but something needs to change.
It's Iowa and I don't expect to compete with Ohio St every year, but I also don't want to watch this bullshit either. There are HS offenses more complex than what we run.
Not only that, but very few programs put more players in the NFL than Iowa-Offense and Defense. Iowa is good at finding the talent other schools overlook, but Kirk doesn't surround himself with offensive coaches that get it done either. It's too bad Iowa can't field a quality offense. Their defenses have been great lately (top 20 in FBS in scoring every year since 2015)
I hear you, but he can do better.Try dealing with that stuff plus turnovers, penalties, and shit special teams play.
Ferentz keeps it simple, but at least it's disciplined.
It was pretty dismal the years between Evashevski and Fry.There were very few of those prior to Fry (six 8-9 win seasons)
