Well, Braves and Chiefs are substantially more "offensive" than Indians is. The Braves were doomed the day they decided there was a way they could keep the tomahawk chop.

Not really. More passé than anything else. A vast amount of Native American groups freely use the term, "Indian" or "American Indian" themselves. This is the equivalent of a bunch of white people deciding wokeness is cool, and then telling the United Negro College Fund that it should change its name.
 
They are now my least favorite franchise in MLB. I'll even pull for the Phillies over them.

Cleveland had an old Negro League team called the Buckeyes. They don those unis still when the league does throwback days.

Color scheme is the same, and honestly its a pretty great look. Obvious hiccup is sharing the same team name as Ohio State.

No, but then again, there's nothing wrong with calling themselves The Indians. The old logo with the exaggerated features probably needed to go, but the name itself is fine.

It's a minority of native Americans that are offended, it's mostly white liberals crying about such things.

As a Tiger fan it was good to see Lindor go, but he seemed to really belong in Cleveland. Some players just fit their franchise. Back to the name The Cleveland Seneca would be the perfect name.
