So, I'mma walkin the Archie dog tonight...about 3 miles round trip with a two lane road on one side and the mangrove swamp on the other. Over the years, I've seen coyotes, a couple gators and the usual turtles, coons and other shit.
So, we're strollin' along and a big bobcat starts crossing the road about 100 yards right in front of us. It crossed the road and slowed as it took a look at us and then scampered into the swamp. When we got there, I couldn't see it or any prints anywhere.

Anyway, the remarkable thing is that it was hewj! It was clearly a bobcat and not a panther. (tail and color) Max weight around here is supposed to be 30 lbs. There's NO WAY that was less than 50 lbs...looked like a big golden retriever with longer legs and sad little tail.

Giant bobcats are roaming around here eating lizards and sharks and shit.

I've never seen a bobcat.

But a porcupine scared the shit out of me on a trail yesterday. That I was gonna get Incredible Journeyed.

Came across a porcupine onetime hunting and I had no idea how big they were. The size of it blew me away

Years ago sitting in my deer stand on opening day, I decided to munch on a Hershey miniature that, back in the day, were wrapped with small pieces of foil under the paper liner. Being as quiet as I can I start to unravel the foil and out of the corner of my eye, a huge effin Great Horned Owl was diving right at me. It wasn't quite daybreak so suspect he was going for the sound.

Scared the living shit out of me.

This thing was a huge.

Like a beaver that wanted to stab me.

Was going fishing at my Uncles place.
High brush near the woods edge.

I stepped on a snake.
Yep

Was out exploring the hot springs/trails about 40 miles south of home when I saw this weird beastly, creepy thing just kind of traipsing along about 50 yards ahead of me. Sat in my car and did a little sissy honk because I didn't know what I was dealing with, but was curious (stupid cat!!). The beast slowly turns around, starts coming towards my car and I realize - it's a wild boar! I honked not like a sissy and he turned around and sprinted away. Those mawfks are FAST! Huge and fast!

I had a mom bear and two cubs walk right past me when I was having lunch while working in the woods. They were about ten feet away. I just sat there motionless. Luckily for me, the bears didn't see me.

Another time in the woods, something seemed strange, I looked up, and there was a bear in a tree about 5 feet over my head. I wasn't really scared of that guy because it was obvious he was more afraid of me.

Well, what kind of damned snake was it??

As for all these bear sightings, time for a classic:

Way too many, including but not limited to a mock-charge by a big bull moose. Countless black bears. Countless rattlers. A dick mountain lion, and an osprey that tried to take a fish from me(I felt his wind).

I always thought they were like a groundhog sized animal till I realized at least the one saw was much bigger than that
Second largest rodent in North America.

Only beavers get bigger.

A retarded pheasant knocked me off a lawn chair once. lulz.

My pops caught a bat, casting a lure out. Reeled that fucker in from the sky. LOL

I caught a massive desert tortoise one time drunk-fishing on Lake Mead, (It was like reeling in a tire, lol) and the fucker tried to take my hand off.

Also, I don't recommend trying to engage peacocks. Another breed of assholes.
