Coach of the Year options

I think you are being sarcastic.

Anyway, the Buffs have now dropped down to 76 in the rankings. They haven't had a recruit commit in about 3 months. My guess is that Deon doesn't understand that recruiting goes on year round. He's like MuLLLLen at UF who thought you took off during the year.
Don’t follow recruiting like some of you. But from what I understand, he’s too direct and blunt to lure some of the higher ranked prima donnas. Their too used to being coddled and worshipped. I think he’ll do better with kids in the transfer portal that have already been kicked around a little and figured out their shit really does stink.

The problem with that is you can't develop any depth because no one is transferring their one time to be a backup. Even teams like FSU that do a lot of transfers are being aggressive with high school recruiting. You can't just ignore it. I can't see him being humble enough to do what it takes to be a top high school recruiter. It takes a lot of time and effort.

What a pile of shit when your hatred fogs up the reality.

Deion beat three bad teams and we got mofos in here anointing him the Coach of the Year.

:wtf:
which everyone back in the summer said he wouldn't beat

Overall, I agree with you but probably for different and more cynical reasons.

I don't think ANY of the "non brand" schools are EVER going to be able to stack the high quality depth through recruitment/development that is needed to consistently get through a season. (Unless, they are able to parlay a good NIL program that helps them do that. It could be a great equalizer but it is too early to tell.) They just have to hope they can avoid the injury bug for a season or at least dodge it at positions that are lean in quality depth.

And his lack of humility may be the reason I mentioned about being too direct. No doubt he's got a huge ego but so do most other coaches. And a lot of that year long recruiting is done by assistants isn't it?

Not sure who picked CSU over Colorado at any point. TCU obviously blows, as does Nebraska. Also people are acting like he's coaching the same Colorado team as last year when in reality it's an entirely remade roster with former 4/5* guys that have been the most talented team on the field outside of Oregon and USC.

Great. Now back to the question. What has he accomplished?
Hype. He's created enough hype to get several million more viewers to watch games than should have. I'd look up those numbers but I'm not technomoloigcal enough. And we'll see if that viewership number holds against the likes of ASU, Zona, Stanford, etc.
