Gameday is good there because Greenville fucking sucks. there's literally nothing else to do there but support ECU athletics. i get why App grads are passionate about how great their school is, because Boone is a decent scene. but Greenville? It's the drizzling fucking shits. also, ECU grads tend to be retarded.

and for a long time, ECU benefited from being the only G5 school in NC. that is no longer case. they now have to compete with App State and Charlotte. Additionally, ODU, James Madison, Liberty, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern and Georgia State are now FBS schools as well. scene has become a tad crowded in the Carolinas, Virginia and Georgia.

and ECU would always be a horrible fit for any conference that wants to be viewed as a power/BCS league. the only schools that should be in a power league in the state are UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State.

Not sure about recruiting and player retention under Clay, but Lincoln Riley inherited a bad program. Have to at least give him 4-5 years to try to turn USC around.

Before (80s, 90s) and after Pete Carroll, USC has been mid to above average. Expectations are too high there vs the reality of the program imo.

A major hurdle is lineman all come from the midwest and south
 
so where do we think the indiana coach will be next year?

Most likely pressure from above (via boosters) to make some staff changes or be ousted.

I personally thought Neal Brown was a good hire when announced, but after 6 years it's not looking good.

Dude, maybe the only way he would have been fired is if they lost out and looked terrible doing it. Neal did this (fired Lesley) to relieve a bit of pressure from the AD, to save face and to give himself a few more games to “work out these defensive woe kinks.” But Neal knows WVU can’t afford to fire him. The only way it happens now is if this “wolf pack” or one of the big dogs wants to pay the staff buyout and pay the new coach/his staff. Translation, ain’t happen’n.

I’m think at some point the schools that are not super rich will stop getting into these multi year payouts. I know it might cause some issues in original hirings and retention. Regarding the latter, they ain’t going to be able to keep them anyway if those “super rich” come calling.

Ohh absolutely to all. We will most likely start seeing more and more of these ACC and B12 coaches leaving their good situations for middle or lower tier schools in the B1G/SEC because of money, resources and guaranteeing themselves coaching a university with a seat at the table.
 
Now that the B1G and SEC are Mega Big, I wonder how low some of the teams will reach into the coaching tiers to go after a coach. Or how low they will go into the coaching tiers to find the next "hopefully" great coaching hire. I just don't know if there are that many coaches at the G5 level that can bring the things to help a team reach decent or better success in the SEC and B1G and reach the playoff. Who do teams like Purdue, Mississippi State, etc. go after?
